For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

Actually incorrect. Yes you can. You just have to wait a year to upgrade to the CSR, and then another year to downgrade to the flex...
I read my old statement wrong and applied two weeks to early. My bonus posted 10/30 2016. I applied 10/16 and was rejected. The lady told me it doesn't affect my app at all if I re apply. So I sent in another app 11/01 and was approved four days later.
Of course they can PC, just not the way they want to.
I used the freedom deal already and I don't see this deal by adding my sapphire
Secured messaged to chase to inquiry when is the first day he's going to become eligible for new bonus again under 48 months rule. Conflicted info. was sent by different representatives during the whole email chain. First one suggested to him to wait till December to apply. After asked why he can't apply in November, the answer changed to a few days after November 07 2020 as they need a few days to update the eligibility in system.
Worried about the offer expiring, he applied last night anyway. I.e November 07th exactly 4 years anniversary. Got the "need to review message" after submit (used edge rather than chrome as suggested by the forum to avoid tech issue). This morning around 7:30am, log in the account and the new card already shows up there. Have till Feb. 04 2021 for 4K spending.
I have my sapphire reserve since 2016 myself. Planning to have his points transfer to mine account for any redemption.
A side note, tried to apply as existing chase customer and log in the account. Got a message says due to tech issue the offer is not available and please try later. So applied as guest instead.

I am approved but so far don't see any bonus info on the app. Maybe it takes a day (48 months for me is November 4th).
Edit: I do see a tracker in the ultimate reward section. I assumed it would be on the account page. I assume I'm good. Thanks.
