I dont drink coffee, but I am looking to grind dried mushrooms to fit them into capsules. Would this suffice or am I better going with these top notch brands like bur and krups?

For anything hard like coffee beans or dried spices, a burr grinder is best. Gets as close as you can get in an automated way to mortar and pestle. For softer things, a blade grinder is best and will act much like a mini food processor. Chop chop!
Just ask yourself: do you want to crush or dice?
For a blade grinder, this will work fine. Or get the Krups if you are influenced by branding. Blade grinders are a dead simple design. Orrrr don't buy a blade "grinder" at all if you already have a good processor. Exact same concept, only a food processor will likely have a better motor.
Bur grinder is overrated.
Fresh ground + (Moka pot OR French press) = great coffee.
I use a 25 year old blade grinder like this I bought for ~$10, and nurses look forward to my coffee.
Somewhat agree with lenovosux. Bur grinder gets a more consistent grind but with variations in beans and roasting, it's tough to say there is a perfect grind for specific bean and a blade will get you in the ballpark of suitable for your brewing technique. Not to mention having more and less extraction from a bean due to particle size can permit a more well rounded flavor profile. No matter how they are ground, freshly roasted and freshly ground beans are certainly the most important factors.

Just the nurses you say? What a strangely serial killerish thing to specify...

Agree 100%. My Melitta blade grinder is also 25 yrs old. Wife and I each grind our own batch every morning for our own French presses.
I bought a burr grinder about 10 years ago and it still works to this day. I don't drink coffee daily but I can tell you the burr grinder is the way to go.
