For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

I saw this tv has banding issues to hard to ignore. Have they been fixed or are they still bad on this tv? (example banding appears in video shots of the sky). Thank you in advance for anyone's feedback on this.
I watched the trailer for the Mandalorian on YouTube and there was a lot of banding. I watched it again on Disney+ and it looked amazing with no banding at all. We even stood a few feet from the TV and it looked great. I haven't been able to make SDR content to look very good, though.

Is there a way to get this deal without being a Costco member? Looks like membership is only $60/year, but I just don't think I'd ever visit the store to grocery shop.
you can buy it without a membership online. i just purchased this tv a few days ago and i'm not a member. only downside is you pay a surcharge which was about 70$. my main reason for doing that was for the extended warranty. soon as this sale goes live i'm going to shoot for a price adjustment.

The ad says 5 year warranty. Does the citi Costco card add an extra year or 2 on there?

How does this work if you don't have a membership? Can you sign up and cancel after?
You can, but maybe a hassle. Best bet is to get Costco gift cards. I'm not sure if you need the full amount or just $5 worth (then pay rest with debit, visa, cash, or check). All I know is you can shop at Costco without a membership if you have the GC, I think they do it to encourage people to give them as gifts to people without having to know if theyre a member

I managed to get TCL 75R635 @ 950 via BB price match. Not picky on size and i am ok with 65 as well and not much of gamer. Sony + costco + warranty sounds more comforting than TCL /panel lottery + additional $$ for warranty. So TCL 75" R635 @960 $ or sony 65"900H @ 970$ ? Kindly suggest.
If you are not picky on size, this Sony is a "no brainer" decision. If still undecided, you should go check out for yourself, what is the difference in PQ between the two. The upscaling of content on Sony will be much better, judging by what I have seen on my 900F.

That's interesting, so if I buy a $5 gift card I won't have to pay the 5% non member fee?

Yes up to 7. The TV has on the box 3 year. The 5 year is most likely Costco bundling there own square trade warranty with it which is up to 5 years. (they actually do this quite alot randomly) and on top 2 more years with Citi Costco.

Anyone knows how good this is for the playstation 5?
This TV is made for the PS5. HDMI 2.1 4k 120Hz, also learned from the previous thread this TV has a ATSC 3.0 tuner.

These features will be added in a future firmware update this year. Hopefully Sony delivers soon.

Yikes....I was considering returning the 900F I bought from Amazon a couple of weeks ago for this but according to RTINGS it beats the 900H in the categories that matter to me. TV shows, sports & HDR movies. Anyone with both TV's care to share any advice?

HDMI 2.1 + ATSC 3.0 + Faster CPU

The surcharge is basically the costs of a yearly membership. Makes no sense to not join for a year at $60 then pay a surcharge.
