For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

And thank you for the comparison video, I appreciate it. My Best buy didn't have them on the same wall so I had to walk back and forth to compare them.

Overall the CX looked really good but it still did look slightly darker than the Sony one but that could have just been the lighting and location in my store. Also they had different demos rinning. The Sony had a bright, colorful promo, whereas the LG promo seemed to focus on dark scenes.

I didn't notice banding on either of the Sony ones I looked at though but they were both sitting perfectly vertical and I've read on some other coast back-bending is more evident when the TV is tilted forward.

I'll honestly probably go with the Sony because a 65 inch TV will still probably be slightly better future-proofing than a 55 in OLED

You do the price match online. I believe there's a form you fill out and submit within the price adjust period. Outside of the period, you could call and ask nicely or go ask at your local store.

It's only future-proofing for myself. I will be less likely to want a larger TV later on lol. My current TV is a 50" four-year-old Vizio m series so i was already eyeing 65 inch tvs. but a 65in OLED is out of my desired price range atm, barring a price error or some super crazy slickdeal.

I know that TVs are considerably cheaper to buy a nowadays but I still don't like to consider them disposable the way a lot of other folks on Slickdeals do.

I think I will wait for next yrs model not sure how soon Sony will release hdmi update and x900h seems a little dim for hdr I want over 1000 nits.

Keep in mind many people living in new developments. New apartments, new condos, new townhouses etc. All it takes is a blank wall in a living room, den, basement, bonus room etc. Televisions are getting thinner than ever with non-existent bezels. I feel like where my 65" is I could easily fit a 75" now. Spaces are modern and and more minimalist.

This is a solid price for the television. Nit brightness a little low than I like, but still decent for the rest of the features at the price.

It's a weird thing. 25 years ago a 25-36" was "massive". 15 years ago, my 46" lcd was "massive". On the same wall and place my 46" hung, I will be hanging a 75" x900H....it's "massive" today but who knows if it's "small" in 10 years
