For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

I saw this tv in person at my local costco and the picture quality looked amazing. It was plenty bright with colors popping out compared to lower priced sub $600 Samsung and TCL tvs next to it of the same size. I think the poor viewing angles are exaggerated. The viewing angles looked very good and no where washed out as some have claimed. The box says 3 year warranty so with Citi card that's another 2 years for a total of 5 yrs. I'm definitely picking one up.

These tv's look great with bright/colorful full screen video. Watching dark movies or movies with wide aspect (black bars) is usually where they fall down with haloing, blooming, and all the other local dimming artifacts. This one is supposed to be improved over the 900f I returned, but I'd be curious to see how much since I don't think they increased the number of zones.

Can anyone confirm that the 5 year warranty in the Costco flyer is somewhat of typo such that you can only get the 5 years is via 3 years manufacturer warranty + 2 years Costco Citi credit card? I have seen some posts that is implying 5 years manufacturer warranty + 2 years Costco Citi credit card = 7 years?

In theory Costco could toss in the additional Square Trade Bundle like they do with selective LG and Samsung TVs on their web site but those are 3 year Square Trade warranties so that wouldn't add up to the 5 years in the coupon book (3 from Sony + 3 Square Trade). Unless it's a special Square Trade option?

If the coupon book is in error, then there's no reason to wait until Wednesday to get the TV versus getting it before Wednesday to ensure you have one.

Last year, televisions were on sale in November at Costco, not on Black Friday per se. The equivalent 65" Sony was a lesser model, the X850G and it was $899 from Nov. 22-Dec 1. So I would think the X90CH may near its lowest likely price. Plus, why wait for the holiday hubbub, with possible shipping delays? $400 off is nothing to sneeze at.

Just search for "tabletop tv stands" at Amazon or other retailers. There are so many choices of pedestal models that you can find what you need from $30-$50. Most have swivel and are fully adjustable and all look very easy to install.

Also, I did see two versions of tabletop stands on the shelves at Menard's, a Midwestern big box store.

No one knows for sure. I suspect that it is 3 years Sony + 2 years Square Trade. And it could be a typo. It is likely not because of the Costco Visa, since it would have said that and any Visa can be used at Costco, but not all offer warranty extension. The Square Trade warranty for a TV of this price is $69.99, so it is not expensive if you had to add that.

I'm kind of torn between this sony deal and a refurbed Samsung Q7 (QN65Q7DRAFXZA) at microcenter for about $300 less. I like the Costco warranty and that this is brand new, but not sure if the Q7 is technically on par with this set for a few hundred less.

If anyone has any opinion between the two I would be happy to hear it

The only question I have on the Square Trade Warranty from Costco is that the regular one they sell is for 3 years. Then the math doesn't add up to 5 when you factor in the 3 from Sony. Unless it's a special 2 years warranty from Square Trade instead of the 3 years they typically sell at Costco.

I don't have personal experience either way, but I'd get the Sony just for the warranty. A refurb with a 90-day warranty is a hard no for me.

I actually bought the SquareTrade warranty with this set when I bought it on Saturday with my Costco VISA so as it stands how much warranty do I have? Three years manufacture's, 2 years Citi card and three years SquareTrade? Or does the SquareTrade add protection if my 4 and a half year uses the TV as a dartboard in those first three years? (That being a necessary protection if that's the case).

I talked to my friend that works at Costco. The 5 year warranty is from Sony. It kicks in Wednesday so if you buy it today you can get a price adjustment but not those extra two years warranty unless bought during sale.

There is 40 of them at another store around me so I think I'll be fine for Wednesday. Also the sale online would be at midnight since headquarters are on the west coast.
