For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Are you guys hanging the TV by yourself or getting someone to do it?
I think its possible to do yourself. The TV isn't that heavy, its just large. I had my wife just stand there in case the TV slipped of the rails while I screwed in the clamps in the back but once it was set up on them it didn't move at all.

I used this mount [amazon.com]. It's not cheap but very solid and smooth. I'm happy with it.

Curious, how many people received the TV with zero dead pixel ? Or the general consumer just don't check or care?
Imo for monitors I check for dead pixels but for a flat screen tv where I sit anywhere from 10 ft + away and if I don't notice I'm not going to go checking for it. Open to other ideas tho.

After tweaking settings a from youtube the picture is great.

It's automatic, Sony changed the warranty on their end. You can register on their site and you'll see the dates
Do you happen to have the URL of where you see the dates? I registered mine but it only shows when I registered it at https://productregistration.sony....d_products

I just registered to see if I could see the dates and it also only shows me date of registration.

I did call the Costco concierge/tech support to confirm that I do have the 5 year warranty though. I purchased my set before the 5 year warranty was announced/went into effect.

Well that sucks. Just got my TV and it looks dead on arrivals. After the Sony logo there are horizontal lines across google setup screen and then it goes black. Tried resetting and all.

Anyone go through Costco exchange? Do I need to pack the TV back myself? Do they deliver a new one and pick up on the same day?

Yes, you can schedule pickup with the replacement delivery. I just did this on Friday. You should pack it back up if you can to make it easier to remove.

Didn't realize the exp dates are not showing there. You can try the link below, not sure if it'll work since it's from their Ireland site and the US page seems to be non existent.

I cannot connect to 5GHz wi-fi network using this TV. Anybody else facing this issue? I have tried factory reset.

How is the UI of this TV? Is it good as it is with Android TV or worth getting the new Chromecast with Google TV?

It's fantastic imo. It uses Android TV. Very snappy.

Some would consider this Sony to be the best on the market. It's faster than most android os out there and you have access to App Store. But I think you don't get access to HBO app, don't quote me on it though. I don't think you would need to get a chromecast, it would be redundant
