Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

I have to wait for my damn sim to arrive for the port in rebate. Ridiculous slow shipping over a week and still hasn't arrived. Once the port is done I'll do this deal

Yes, prefer the Costco route as well usually, but also no $200 hookup via Costco.

Basically turning my unused S7 into a free S20 FE is a no-brainer.
Is there a post walking one through how to do this type 3 hookup for the extra $200 ... I don't understand how (1) I will get a code after 9/30 and (2) how that will work with all the other hookup promos etc I have on the account.

So if you had a 20% hookup code applied two years ago and currently in your account, you can't enter a type 3 hookup code to get an additional $200 back when buying the S20 FE?
This is one of the things I'm looking for an answer to as well! Hopefully somebody walks you/me through this. Obviously, I want the $200 if I can get it, but I obviously don't want to knock off the 20% deal, since that's worth way more than $200 total.

If you guys don't want to deal with "Bill Credits", it's better to get directly from Samsung. After stacking all the offers, you will get the device for $250-$300 (including taxes)...

Stack following things on Samsung Site: Employee/EDU Discount, PerksAtWork, Referral, R10, Paypal (with Discover), Price Match with BestBuy, Cancel Trick...

Got one through chat, $55 trade in credit for iPhone 7 (locked to Verizon), $445 /24 month. Now start looking for case & screen protector. Anyone has deals on those?

He waived the $24.99 2-day shipping but I have to pay the $20 assist fee

This deal is only good if I want to be stuck with Tmobile for 2 years, right? Their cheapest service would still make this cost more than paying full price and sticking with Visible.

For Samsung S7, seems Samsung is offering only $100 credit. So for you, the new FE may cost around $350...

Yeah I just talked to a rep and have him double and triple check it and that's what he told me. This was via chat through their app. I may try reaching out to T-Force and see what they say. Yeah, losing $120 of credit is a tough pill to swallow for this deal. I too thought that all you have to do is pay of the device and the credits will still be good. Didn't realize that once the phone is gone in a trade-in, so is the credit with it.
No the rep is wrong. Once the first bill credit kicks in, you can do whatever you want with the phone and you'll still get the rest of credits. I've done a few of these bill credits promotions. I always pay them off once I see the first bill credit. I sold two and used one for trade in. Still getting all the bill credits.

Have you done any of these recent trade-in deals and still get credits? I had him triple check it and he still insistent that I won't get the credit once I trade the phone off. I don't know if this is a recent change or not.

If you're still getting bill credits for a phone, you probably shouldn't be trading it in. I haven't done any of these promotions though.

Yes. I'm on grandfathered simple choice and will stay long term so it doesn't matter getting stuck for 2 years because of bill credits.

No, it's $500 for an S7 trade in. It's very clear here.

I just placed my order. The rep I talked to confirmed that my old Simple Choice plan is eligible for the $500 trade-in credit and she confirmed that the plan is eligible for the insider hookup code. And looks like milk confirmed that it worked on his account, thanks!
How did you regter your code? I can't seem to register

I think he/she meant going through Samsung directly and not T-Mobile.
