Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

She was mistaken. Check out the link in the first post for the promo in writing.
Yeah I even noted the fact that it says "have or add" and she was a bit persistent. What was really weird was she called me directly and said there is some trade in I can take advantage of it but it won't be available until the 28th.

Anyway, I decided to call 611 directly and they confirmed I could make the order. Almost did it until he told me about the $20.00 online service fee but he told me he couldn't waive it so I'll just order through the website.

How long does T-Force take to reply to requests for a Hookup code? Been waiting a while.

Really can't say, depending on how many ppl are working and how many ppl are messaging them... Also there's really no guarantee that you will get one from T-Force, each rep has a certain number of codes only. Good luck!

I am working on the math for the S20 FE. Let me know if I missed something.

$700 plus tax paid up front
$500 -> $20.83 discount from my month bill for next 24 months
$200 rebate card for type 3 hook up code
---------------------------------------------------
Final cost should be the sales tax

Thanks. Rep who responded said he had none left. Guess I'm a little late to the party.

Tempted to get this for my wife, she has an S8+ which I would sell locally & I would trade in a $60 Cricket iPhone 7 for the S20 FE.
There are a couple of things that making me hesitate:

1. From my understanding the S8+ has a better display 2960 x 1440 pixels, 18.5:9 vs 2400 x 1080 pixels, 20:9 ratio on the S20 FE........is this really noticeable?
2. S8+ has gorilla glass back whereas the S20 FE has a plastic back.....big deal?
Of course there a lot of specs that are better on the S20 FE than S8+.
What do you think.......is it worth the getting the S20 FE in this case?
Also, do we get the pre-order $70 for accessories from Samsung with this trade in offer?

I doubt display would be noticeable, this will get atleast another two android version upgrade, my guess. If you using case, who sees ur phone back?
Yes, to $70 credit.

So for those with type 3 hookup code, is this the normal message when you attempt to enter it?

Unfortunately you are not eligible for this offer because you do not have an eligible Rate Plan or Data Plan. Please contact T-Mobile Customer Care by dialing 611 from your handset to change to one of the qualifying plans.

So just wait till the phone ship and get the IMEI?

Have you ordered the phone? If you have you should be able to get past the first page where you enter the phone number and the code, unless you truly have an ineligible rate plan (I think only value essential is excluded).

Correct, and you can combine multiple on same Samsung account.
