Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

Thanks... very, very similar specs to the S9+ that I got on the $349 deal from Microsoft...
It's a sizable upgrade from the S9+

Excluding the 2 generation snapdragon improvement, you have faster storage, faster ram, 5G, etc

My favorite feature is probably the 120 hz display, and 25 watt charger.

I don't have the FE, but I had the S20.

Couple questions.

If I want the $70 Samsung.com accessory bonus do I have to pre order through Samsung or can I preorder through tmobile?

If I want to use the tmobile hookup $200 type 3 code do I have to order through tmobile and not Samsung?

Is there a way to get both bonuses?

Either than the 5G, specs on this phone is underwhelming. Why would I trade my better speced phone for the FE edition?
---

Then just keep your phone and not trade-in. The deal is only good for people who wants to upgrade their phones for less.

You can get both if you order from TMO and able to obtain type 3 code.

True! There's a couple different promotions that they have going on. What I have linked is the details for the one that doesn't involve adding a line.

There is also supposed to be a promotion that if you add a line or switch to T-Mobile that they will give you the entire device free. That doesn't help me as a customer with plenty of lines, so I asked T-Force to clarify the promotion because once you click that link there is no more mention of new lines. I've posted everything as given by the chat reps.
May I have the link that didn't involve adding a line?

Do I have to sign up for T-mobile to get this? Or can I just buy it unlocked from them? I'm on a 3rd party network that runs off T-Mobile.

What a terrible value. Its great if you can't pay for the phone outright or need more than 8gb a month but otherwise the math doesn't add up. $70 a month single line access ($60 plan doesnt include tax/fees so its essentially same price). $70*24months = $1680. Add $200 phone price. Thats $1880 for 24 months, or $78.33 per month, PLUS the value of your S10e or equivalent.

An MVNO like Mint mobile avg cost $135/per six months for 8gb a month × 4(6 months blocks) = $540 per 24 months. + $600 phone + 8% tax= $648 + $540. Thats $1188/24 months = $49.50 per month.

Your blowing $30 a month, or $720 per 24 months, plus the value of your trade in.
A lot of people have very good (cheap) plans with T-Mobile. I have 10 lines and paying ~$180/month. I'm sure there are others that can beat my plan.

Yes, it's for existing customer (new customer/line gets it for free without trade-in). Plus you need T-Mobile bills for 24 months to get the bill credit.

Isn't it better to get cheaper mvno service and just buy the phone outright for $600ish.. put the carrier savings towards the phone, sell old phone if that helps too

Yah thats the exception to my math. If you are embedded within tmobile with a family plan or just multiple lines, you'll get a great deal on this. I'm in my 20's so too old to be on my parents plan but not trusting enough to have friends/gf pay for their portion of the bill on a consistent basis.

Yea, MVNOs are really the best for single lines. You really need family plan for the major companies to have any kind of savings on their plans.

You don't have to be in the same physical household. I have family members 1000 miles away on my plan. Unless they are on the 55+ plan, you should do it.

My parents are 55+ and on the discount Tmobile plan. I don't trust anyone else to pay their portion of the bill. You're talking about a 24 month commitment and thousands of dollars to pay back if that 2nd line person suddenly goes radio silent. My siblings are all married and get phone lines paid through their work. Even then, the cost per month would still be slightly higher than an MVNO unless you get Netflix on your plan and use it every month
