Based on the information from this thread and another community, I created a guide so that more people can hopefully navigate this deal easier and so questions won't be continuously repeated.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing

Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

Since this involves a trade-in, just want to remind folks that you can trade-in in person at a T-mobile corporate location and by doing so, avoid any surprises from mailing in your device

Starting 9/25 get a Galaxy S20 FE 5G for just $200 over 24 months via bill credits when you trade in an eligible device:

Apple: iPhone 11, XS Series, XR, X, 8 Series, iPhone 7 series
Samsung: Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note10 series, Galaxy S9 series, Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7 series
Google: Pixel 4/4XL, Pixel 3A/3AXL, 3/3XL
OnePlus: 8, 8 Pro, 7T Pro McLaren, 7T, 7, 7 Pro, 6, 6T
LG: V60 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.

THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.

Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...-s20-fe-5g

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

My S7 has a slight burn-in (you can lightly see the keyboard on a white background). Currently attempting to fix the burn in, but thoughts on Tmobile accepting this? Otherwise the phone is in excellent condition

Clear browser cache, use different browser, or try from App. TM website is not one of the best!
Thanks, no luck. Do you know if we can pre-order with trade in at the t-mobile store?

Yes, you can, but trade-in will have to mailed in, so no real advantage other than trip to store. Better call/chat with CSR, ask upfront that you're having issues with website/app, would you waive the $20 agent assist fee. They'd mostly waive it.

Thank you! Just did a trade in of my S9 for the S20 FE. Now to find a code I go.
I'm struck out on codes. Tried reddit, discord, fb, etc. Sucks!

AT&T has free Note 20 with trade in, which seems like a better deal.

$91 will be discounted from the cost up front. the remaining $109 will be owed over the next 24 months.

Theoretically, if the offer is still available by the time you receive the card.

Unknown at this time. Since the phone doesn't actually release until 10/2, which is after hookup ends, it may not qualify. I'll update the post when I know for sure. Confirmed that it does stack.
How does it stack if the offer ends on the 30th and phone releases on the 2nd of next month? Don't you need its IMEI?

I did the s8 trade in-store. The associate look over it, and type in the code to the phone, checked it out. and I pre-ordered my S20 FE from them there. I just wanted to speak to a person about it. The trade-in will still be done via mail. They just access your info on one of their tablets and go through it with you, place the order, explain and run through it.
My S8 is only worth about $60 they said, but explained how the rest of the bill credits would work. This would have been a great deal if you have a S7, but I don't know how they would view screen burn in.

The in-store person reviewed my phone and gave it an 'okay' for trade-in. Not sure if that makes it quicker than mailing in the trade-in and having them evaluation it later. I'd imagine they get evaluated in end either way. I still use my S8 daily, so just being a bit more careful with it to make sure it makes it until friday. lol

If this is for the $500 trade in then you will receive $91 up front and $409 back spread out over 24 months.

I just got this for 50% off and did the free line promo. Rep confirmed I'd get the phone and line for a total of roughly 11 a month I think.

I still have 7 months in bill credits on my Pixel 3A they told me. So I'd lose out on ~$117. I got a hookup code so it should only cost me the $117 if I pay it off and trade it in. Seems worth it, but the Pixel is still going strong. Any thoughts on what I should do?

You shouldn't be losing the $117 in bill credits. You only lose the bill credits if you're closing out the line. Maybe if you're using the same line for another promo they make you lose the bill credits? Not sure, but if so can you choose a different line to put this s20 fe on? I know if you're not closing out the line you shouldn't be losing the credits
