Lets see, crap processor, crap ram, crap TN screen, and Lenovo. Why is anyone excited about this? Ok great instead of paying $300 for a piece of crap, you can pay $150. It's still a piece of crap that can't handle any type of multitasking, gaming, or programs. You are definitely getting what you pay for.

What a worthless deal.

How new are you that haven't run into Ubuntu install/EFI bugs....
LOL, Ubuntu fully support UEFI firmware bruh. You are new. This is not the 90s or the 2000s or the 2015 Linux.

According to Userbenchmark, that should be similar in CPU performance to the Ryzen 3 3200u?
I'm gonna say hard no.

That's this model vs. the 6w POS from last year vs the Ryzen 3.

Base on what you said this is crap? I just wanted to know your opinion about it? Can it not web surf and check mail? Can it not check slickdeals and post? Can it not use as google doc access? Some simple games?

Add some RAM and it's more than good enough for Granny to email or Junior to "go to" class.

The processor also makes it great for a hardware accelerated plex server.

Forget the haters! My wife and her aunt have something similar. If the performance is the same, It's a great deal for less tech-savy uses, like home study, or for media consumption. Windows 10 works just fine once you switch out of S mode. Streaming services work, Zoom works, light browsing works (seen the wife with 10 tabs open in Chrome and Edge just fine). They pay bills, do online shopping, write emails - all that stuff. The kids play Roblox and Minecraft. Wife hooks up to the TV to do her workouts. The specs are all low-end, but it is $150.

So what are the cons? It's not thin, nor light. The camera is hot garbage to me, but the wife uses it for Zoom and hasn't complained yet, so there's that. The screen is ... meh. I mean, our phones have better screens, and I'll bet a $150 phone might as well. At first I was concerned about the 4GB of ram, but honestly, it hasn't been a problem YET. I'm sure, in the future we'll have to revisit this. I would like an ethernet jack, but it's hard to tell because they only use them in the house and we have good wi-fi. If we go on vacation, it might be a different story. Also, 128GB of storage is nothing these days. You will run out fast if you have a lot of media. But this problem isn't exclusive to this particular model, as the majority of laptops are in the same boat. So add the cost of external storage (SD card, external drive, cloud) to the overall price. Finally, the battery life is not good. You'll have to pay more to start getting decent longevity.

I think it'll be a perfect laptop for light duty computing. I was looking for a basic computer/Chromebook for my kids' school use and this fits the bill perfectly. I'm actually glad that it can't run games well, so that they'll just use it for school work. Kids are getting too much screen time as is.

This is a pretty good deal if you can add the extra RAM. 2-3x as fast as a 2nd gen i3 from 2012. I have a laptop with an i3-2377M and 6GB RAM. It's not blazing, but more than adequate for streaming and office productivity.

Definitely a better deal than any Chromebook. Full PC with Windows.
