A year or so ago I bought a $200 Lenovo from BB. The screen was awful, and I don't mean because it wasn't 1080p like so many posters on this site constantly talk about. It was hard on the eyes. I sold it. Fan droned a lot and it appears this one has the same cheap plastic material that looked like it would scratch incredibly easy. Also, I could not get McAfee removed for the life of me; it would somehow continuously reappear. Think this one would be the same quality?
They probably put some customization malware on it so it will send your info to China. There isn't a computer that I haven't reinstalled fresh copy of Windows and everyone should do the same.

At $150 + 4GB added(?), I guess this is the laptop to get this year.

Probably want something with better screens for media but why not? If RAM can be added like posters said and like on YouTube. This can last few years doing school works or office work until this Covid passes and grew out of it.

Not sure, can I convert this into Linux machine, Planning to install Ubuntu 20 LTS.
For Windows OS this is a brick and pretty much useless.

Yes, but.... watch out for the drives to buy.

The description is saying 2242 for the M.2 slot. I thought 2242 is obsoleting, right now, most of the drives out there are 2280 form factor.

However, the description says 2.5" bay is available. Then it should work for your upgrade.

If this laptop is similar to youtube video I watched. It has 2242 drive but you can swap it with 2280 drive also there will be empty RAM slot to add more. I don't know if it will have 2.5" bay.

Lenovo is killing it with their deals. I got a Lenovo tablet and laptop and I have been happy with them. On top of that, I am a fan of Lenovo/Motorola phones. They make solid products that are great bang for your buck.

I gotta laugh at some people's expectations for a $150 sale laptop. I bought a $150 Acer Spin 1 with a Pentium Silver and 4GB RAM and I am quite impressed by its performance. I used to be that person who always thought only about i3 or better but now I'm open to others as I had good experiences with them. This Lenovo has a Pentium Gold too.

As for people complaining about a $150 sale laptop screen, the company has to make cutbacks. When I first used my Acer, I was disappointed in its screen because I compared it to my monitor and my tablets. I eventuality got over the screen pretty quickly. If you look straight on, it looks fine. It struggles when you look at angles. Most of us are looking straight on. Would I buy a $150 for my main laptop? No but as a secondary laptop or for a kid/older person who uses it for basic tasks? Sure.

This laptop with Chrome OS or Ubuntu would be a good buy.

Would this be adequate for Zoom, Universe Sandbox, Jackbox, and Cities: Skyline? Our decade-old desktop is struggling, and I'm trying to figure out if this would be any improvement.
