So what are the cons? It's not thin, nor light. The camera is hot garbage to me, but the wife uses it for Zoom and hasn't complained yet, so there's that. The screen is ... meh. I mean, our phones have better screens, and I'll bet a $150 phone might as well. At first I was concerned about the 4GB of ram, but honestly, it hasn't been a problem YET. I'm sure, in the future we'll have to revisit this. I would like an ethernet jack, but it's hard to tell because they only use them in the house and we have good wi-fi. If we go on vacation, it might be a different story. Also, 128GB of storage is nothing these days. You will run out fast if you have a lot of media. But this problem isn't exclusive to this particular model, as the majority of laptops are in the same boat. So add the cost of external storage (SD card, external drive, cloud) to the overall price. Finally, the battery life is not good. You'll have to pay more to start getting decent longevity.

and 6405 means 6th generation? (ie: broadwell/skylake?)
If you're in the market for anything i5-i9, 9th or 10th gen/Ryzen 3, 5, or 7. . . . yeah, this would look like garbage.

Another plus is the proper Windows OS instead of Chrome OS
For $149, a used iPad 6th around $200 from eBay might be better. Amazed by my son 6th generation iPad, resolution, performance on some graphic intensive games at 30fps. So much easier to use for online class too. But a lightning digital AV adapter cost from $20 to $50.
Else the cheapest deal for kid to use is the fire hd10 at $70 (hopefully come back for those who miss it) but need work and to mirror to a screen, you probably need a fire tv stick..have not try it.
My in-laws have 100mpbs optical fiber. Would this laptop be good enough to leave at my in-laws as a remote access computer? That way I could download everthing on weekdays and retrieve all the information on weekends while visiting them.
It would be plugged in all the time. Sounds like a good plan?
