Sure thing. Just spread some rep if you can Wink

Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

I looked into this and general consensus is that this WILL NOT work. Most Costco employees online are saying they are told not to honor price adjustments for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and sales for items purchased beforehand. Of course, you can risk it but there isn't any guarantee you will get the price adjusted (most said if the item goes out of stock, Costco will definitely not price adjust).

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.

Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

In case you end up getting the monitor on cyber Monday, return the new one that is still packed with old receipt showing full price. That way there are not a whole lot of open box monitors and someone can get a new monitor if they want to.

is it good for work or letters will be slightly blurred? Will be connecting to MacBook Pro and would like to see crisp screen.

Hi,

Does anyone know how this will work with the ps5? Will it work at 120hz even though you're using HDMI?

If not, if I get a DP to HDMI, would that work?

Thank you in advance!

Not the best monitor for PS5 honestly. You'll have black bars on the side as it does not support ultrawide resolution, and the frame rate may be capped at say 100hz over HDMI. You would be best finding a 4k high refresh monitor, or a TV that's 4k/120.

Don't have the link but pretty sure neither MS nor Sony will support ultrawide resolution on the new consoles. Im glad as a PC gamer , we get to enjoy ultrawide gaming.

Thank you for the tips!

I can't afford a 4K monitor with 120hz... what would you suggest I would be looking for instead?

So HDMI 2.0 is capped at 100hz?

Thanks again for the help!

On this monitor, the specs list HDMI capped at 100hz. For something more affordable, I'd say go for a TV. It seems the 2020 TCL 6-Series supports 4k and 120hz. I'd perhaps look into that.

Just checked with Costco.com customer service via. chat and they noted the price adjustment for lowered pricing within 30-days of purchase will work even on Cyber Monday. And in the case it doesn't, just return it and buy it at the discounted price on November 30th. You can't lose with Costco! Cool

So spec-wise they would probably be comparable 1:1, the big win with this would be the convenience to just walk into any Costco at anytime and return for a full-refund in case any product issue or you just don't want the product, Costco would definitely be most accomodating.

Just looked at the specs on that Samsung vs. this monitor. This is a curved ultra-wide vs. normal ultra-wide (a bit more immersive and you won't need to turn your head so much to follow the entire monitor when sitting directly in front of the monitor). The Samsung refresh rate and response rate are 75Hz/4ms vs. 144Hz/1ms of this monitor. So the most important specs are a bit better on this monitor.

Free Shipping and Costco Online only.
YMMV. I tried to do a refund of a sale item in store and they refunded and told me to buy it again.

HDMI 2.0 only has the bandwidth to go up to about 100hz at 3440x1440. Any higher and you'll need Displayport 1.4.

Does anyone know whether the height is adjustable? Thanks. 18.2 in (with stand) is a little high for me.

I think I read somewhere that it's not adjustable, but I'm not positive. I'm trying to find out myself.

Edit: doesn't look like it's adjustable based on this document: https://mobilecontent.costco.com/..._Sheet.pdf

At best, it tilts forward and back.

I have the Monoprice 35", but I will be buying this without question if it is in stock.
Same, I bought the Monoprice 35 back when it was 300 but this has all the features it doesn't for only $50 more is great.

just don't install the stand. I had got a 32" and did not install the stand. I set the monitor on a couple of hard cover books.

Official Correspondence they most likely will NOT price match, It seems everyone is getting conflicting answers so purchase at your own risk
