I went with the regular iPad after much debate and don't regret it one bit. After using/owning every level of iPad in the last, having the "cheap" version has its advantages. First being that this design, while some say is outdated, has been in production for so long that many of its quirks have been ironed out. The lack of laminated display also means you won't have costly replacements, nor will you see the level of backlight bleed or bezel pressure points that rough handling can cause issues with.
The screen quality is also excellent for content consumption. The lack of Truetone is my biggest gripe, but you'd only notice the difference comparing it side by side with another model.
I hope some of this info can be helpful to those of you looking. At the end of the day, I would say take one of these and put the extra money into nice accessories.
The 2nd year warranty is offered on the following items:
Televisions
Projectors
Computers*
Major Appliances†
*Excluding Touchscreen Tablets.
†Refrigerators (above 10 cu. ft.), freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, washers and dryers.

Also, to clarify, those stating 90 days are talking about Costco return policy. But the items have manufacturer warranty also which is what the Costco card purchase doubles.
a good portion (like 75% +) does sound alot like ur reaching far back to convince urself mostly, but also others, that this model is not only sufficient, but somehow even better or superior in many ways to an AIR that just aren't true .
I say spend more and get the one that DOES look, feel, and perform better - and see if you feel great and love if after a few days or 1-2 weeks even.
Leverage apples new found generosity and forgiveness, and try & buy to your hearts content without penalty if u do decide to return or downgrade/exchange
I could use iphone 12 and be fine. Or iphone 12 pro and be fine, but also feel GREAT holding that substantial and sexy stainless body, and enjoying those few but exclusive / unique pro features and premium hardware, better camera, and the 200+ additional nits of brighness.
But i tried the pro 1st and then again at the same time as the non pro, to make sure i knew what i would LOSE or sacrifice and i realized i want the pro, and worth the minimal cost difference (esp over 1-2 yrs of monthly payments, but even if 1 time/upfront..)
Same with ipad vs air / pro. Ipad is much less of a lower end/downgrade to those than in previous years, but its still not the one that makes you feel as satusfied or happy to use, hold, look at, etc.
So to make sure you FEEL the same and not just agree in theory, u should live with both together or try the better model 1st then downgrade and see if u still agree
People come into the comment section and ask questions specifically because they don't know exactly what they're looking for. You are looking at these iPads through the lens of a tech enthusiast with your mind made up that the more expensive one is a must. That's not how everyone else thinks.
There are people out there who are seriously asking if spending effectively twice the amount to get the Air is worthwhile. These are computers, not luxury watches. Not everyone cares about how it makes them feel, but that it will function well and be reliable, which these certainly will do just fine.
It honestly sounds like you're trying to convince yourself that your buying habits are justifiable. Look elsewhere, bud.

You have 90 days to return items.
Sometimes Costco will not price adjust (at least not in my handful of experiences) . So what I do is just buy it, and return it based on my previous portuguese the same day. Costco systems have your purchase history, so they can technically return without a receipt.
