I'm not sure but I think intel may also be changing chipsets after the 10th gen so I doubt you'd be worse off.

this one or wait for a CyberPowerPC deal? Any feedback on quality/customer service of iBuyPower builds?

good point, but I still think waiting is the best option unless you really need a new PC right now.

I have seen allot of good things about AMD and while I think this is a great deal, I cant help to wonder about one burning question. Isn't AMD going to change there chipset in the next cycle? Is this a one year PC?
Probably, but Zen 3 is phenomenal and should last you easily 5 years minimum.

Intel has been recently changing chipsets every year now for some reason.

If someone needs a computer soon, this is a really good combo to have.

I just built my 5600X PC and just waiting on a 30 series card. The processor is a beast for 95% of users. Worst case you can upgrade to the 5900X in the future and be good for another few years, if not more.

There is far more limiting hardware at the moment in the consumer market than the current CPUs and GPUs and that wont change for a while, unless you're willing to pay a hefty premium.

Yes, they are changing their socket so future CPU upgrades will most likely require a new motherboard. However, this is essentially what Intel does with almost every one of their releases, while AMD has maintained compatibility for several years. If you need a computer now, don't worry about the change of socket.

If you're updating your CPU that often I don't think spending $100-$150 on a new motherboard in 1-2 years is a problem. Everything else will move with you except the RAM when DDR5 launches for consumers.

Not bad, I would get a branded PSU and potentially a 240 AIO. I got the same CPU and GPU through Cyberpowerpc and it shipped in under 2 weeks.

That's a lot of machine. Not a bad price but I'd wait another week or so for this 3060 announcement to come before making any decisions now.

I guess maybe you can put the order in and cancel if you change your mind?

How does this compare if I bought everything by itself?

Pretty sure you could do better building yourself, if you could get your hands on a 3070 at retail price.
Like everything selected in this configuration is to make it as cheap as possible. Likely for the sake of posting it here.

[EDIT] I guess they could have selected a lower priced, older cpu; so I'll give credit for that.

Anyone know if I buy one and it hasn't been built yet (since it's pre-order due to the processor) am I free to cancel anytime before they actually build it?
