The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

Did you port the number right when adding the line at Costco?
Yes, I asked the rep to add a line and do the port-in. This way, I didn't have to worry about temporary number and I have one number for both rebates.

do u mind how (phjone call, chat, email?) you escalated to corporate? I have same issue, but still paying for my so to call 'free' line.
Thanks!
Same boat as you.

After free line on us 2 sept, they upgraded plan to 9-10-11-12 voice lines plan despite several mgrs n reps said and put in writing no free lines would be lost, all promos intact, all discounts stay on, offers remain...lo and behold last 3 bill cycles rates increased, free lines from 2018, 2019 removed, and free line on us 2 is being charged 30/month. We thought having chats in writing and screenshots and copy n paste for verification would solidify our case issues...but to no avail as chatted off and on with rep n mgr for hrs recently and constant runarounds! Now they won't add back on as they gave one excuse after another...this is classic bait and switch to get some people to jump off their grandfather plan with empty promises and then pivot after the signing/agreeing with myriads of excuses since most people do not pursue it further to the press, consumer action, TV-Newspaper, exec team etc...They are doing injustice to people on grandfather plans who are with them for years.

Our bill is now very high and our promos disappeared...all stemming from a free line add.

This is unbelievable! We are also 25-26 yrs with Tmo parent comp. not a new customer. Just appalling.

Check to make sure that your SOC is on the list. If it is on the eligible list, then the free line promo gets applied automatically. If it doesn't for some reason, contact T-force, and they will fix it.

Ebay sellers are jacking up the porting number price now. I got it for $6.5 last round but can't find anything for under $10 now.
I had a previous ATT I brought form last time that ATT shut down the servers the night before. I don't know if any of that was true.

You tried to port in a Google Voice number and the rep wouldn't do it? Or you already ported it in and the rep said you wouldn't get the rebate?

I just added the line online - of course it will show $10 for sim and $30 or whatever your plan says for the additional line - but I did the Google Pixel 4a promotion.

Rep confirmed both will work.

I just submitted the order online myself, waiting for it to process to show up on my account.

I went to Costco to add the free line, but no go for me, as i am on simple choice flex plan? the Costco kiosk wont even let me add paid line, it prompted to call tmobile directly. so weird. what is flexpay? i am on postpaid and last free line promote was fine too.
that showed up on my account as well, but the rep just called their Tmobile support line, added my free line through them and then validated the kiosk line add (I have no idea what flex pay is, been with t-mo over 12 years) note: before calling the Tmobile support line she called her Costco kiosk mgr to ask what to do...
