What will be interesting to see are the 3060 variants but the problem is that those laptops will still be 1400-1600 dollars. And availability on all 3XXX chips that will be dicey until 2021. Who knows when we will actually see them out on laptops.
If they lead with $2000+ laptops they are in for a rude economy awakening..
One thing to note is it's a heavy beast at nearly 5.5lbs. Not something I'd like to carry around every day.

2060 also adds ray tracing. DLSS 2.0 is the tech that not only adds ray tracing, but can increase framerates too. So not only will the game look much better, but you'll get much higher frame rates.
Worth it in itself, imo. Will add a few years of future proofing, since all the new gen titles are utilizing it.
They could price the 3080 laptops at 3k and still get buyers.

the 1660 is 20-40% behind the 2060 in FHD High. And even more at higher settings (Ultra), or at higher resolutions if you play on WQHD/4K on an external monitor for instance.
So it's pretty sizeable, and I think the RTX 2060 is more futureproof in that respect. That was one of the arguments that helped me decide.
This is an incredible steal.
The 1660ti version with 16gb and 1tb ssd was 950 few days ago...
