Is it really free tho? I did it a few months ago and they charged me tax which in Cali is 3 bucks
My plan is all inclusive so it would be totally free except for the initial charge for the sim/activation.

I have 4 lines on my plan that I pay for. I have added 3 free lines from their offers in the last 9 months. This is insane. And awesome. I hope I'm eligible to add one tomorrow.
I'm on the same boat with you. Hope I can get the 4th too.

dang I am on the one-plus promo with 2 for $120 with hookup and 2 free lines. I am assuming if my plan qualifies I can add another free line. Question is should I upgrade to Magenta Plus? whats the main difference between the one-plus promo and the Magenta Plus? I get 10gb hotspot and HD streaming and whatever dollar amount for netflix. I was paying $101 for my plan with 3 lines (2 paid and 1 free) so my newly added line should still keep my bill at 101 for 4 lines.

Last time when I talked a rep, they mentioned me that the individual account can have maximum of 12 accounts? You may not have autopay $5 discount
Yes I can have 12 lines but that's what I mean. There's a T-Mobile One plan up to 8 lines then a new plan 9-12. The problem is the T-Mobile One 9-12 plan no longer exist so it would move me to Magenta 9-12 which I'd lose the 20% off, the old Netflix plan, One plus Promo. It would literally cost me almost $100/month for this free line or the last one.

No idea. I'm positive it's considered a new plan though.

I called them first to confirm, if I am eligible. The agent confirmed that I am eligible. I then went to the TMO store to double check. They also confirmed my eligibility.

I'm guessing 55+ plans are excluded?
They were last time, which was like a month ago maybe, according to a very informative post I found on another site. All of the discounted plans such as 55+ and military were excluded.

I have a line with one of my parents on a 55+ plan. Since I found this in advance I'll get my SOC anyway but I'm almost positive that it will be excluded.

OP's post has link reddit, which explains how to check SOC. You need to be on desktop browser though.
Yes, you can port-in number on a free line. In fact, you can change/port-in number once a year!
