I missed July free line, so this would be 8th, if I still qualify. Hopefully FRLTULF2 is still on the list. Is your SOC same? If yes, then you can try to change to ONE plan TIULFM9 (9-12 lines). It can be a bumpy ride, if all discounts doesn't carryover, though!

Yes I can have 12 lines but that's what I mean. There's a T-Mobile One plan up to 8 lines then a new plan 9-12. The problem is the T-Mobile One 9-12 plan no longer exist so it would move me to Magenta 9-12 which I'd lose the 20% off, the old Netflix plan, One plus Promo. It would literally cost me almost $100/month for this free line or the last one.

I tried on the last free line a month ago and no go. TForce could do it but they couldn't get my 20% Hookup code to apply even though the code is for life. Life of the plan that is. I'll cancel a line this summer and catch the next one.

Is there any downside to adding more lines besides the extra taxes and regulatory fees for the line each month, which is a few dollars extra per line?

No downside, except you may be tempted to play Santa and give away free service to your friends and family. Be sure you turn off 'SMS payment' just in case.

I don't think we Sprint adoptees ever qualify for these T-mobile free lines. I went from SERO to SWAC years ago and did get 1 free line from Sprint before they merged with TMobile
