Yes I can have 12 lines but that's what I mean. There's a T-Mobile One plan up to 8 lines then a new plan 9-12. The problem is the T-Mobile One 9-12 plan no longer exist so it would move me to Magenta 9-12 which I'd lose the 20% off, the old Netflix plan, One plus Promo. It would literally cost me almost $100/month for this free line or the last one.
TI 9-12 plan does exist. you just have to find the rep whos WILLING to switch you over. i was ON TE and it took me a long long time to find one rep who switched me over to TI

Wow, joined TMO 6 months ago. Now I'll have 7 lines, and only paying for 2, with hookup, $96

I no longer feel bad about leaving the Sprint 5 for $100. . .even if it got the same free lines, It's $6 or so a line in taxes on Sprint

What am I missing : all my family has lines why do I need another free one? (I already asked T Mobile and you CANNOT use it for an Apple Watch or tablet etc, so what's the point? Apart from it over-inflates their subscriber numbers?)

So I have the Essentials plan with 2 paid regular lines. I got a DIGITs line added for Apple Watch. I then got a free line added last month. I plan to add another free line with this promo.

Question: can I cancel my DIGITS line I paid $5/mo for and then make one of my free lines into a DIGITS line?

Did this with our plan the last time we got this offer and they ended up charging us extra for the line even though it should've been free. After lots of back and forth with TMobile customer service (with many who "apparently" didn't know about these promos to others saying that the promo will be reimbursed after two months) we finally managed to get the line for free. Just don't expect to get this hassle free imo

I was told by the rep the free lines can be converted to a DIGITS line at no cost.

Yes I knew it existed I just meant on paper it doesn't. TForce can switch me but my 20% code was no applying so I said no way.

I did this deal last time it went on and it has been a nightmare...seems like I have to call in every other month to get my bill fixed because they start charging me for the "free" line.
And there's the catch - "free" may not quite be free.
(For T Mobile in general I've just started having issues with them keep adding 360protection insurance to my lines without me adding. It's been a PITA to have to keep calling to get removed. Keep an eye on your bills people).
