If I already have 8 lines on Magenta am I able to add this as a free line?
They will switch you to a up to 12 lines magenta plan, it is considered an upgrade so you don't lose you previous promos on your account

If you purchased from t-mobile it comes with a physical Sim that you can activate. Also there's a esim which you can activate using the above steps. All iPhones X and above have esim and physical Sim giving you dual Sim capabilities.
Thanks. Such a stupid question but I don't recall popping in any SIm when I got the iPhone 12. Is there a way to check if I am using the physical sim or esim now? I have another free unused line now that I can probably just do this tonight I figure?

Magenta is 10 lines per account...

Magenta plan has a 8 line maximum. So I think you can't add a 9th line even if you want to pay money.
I'm maxed out on 12 lines on my Magenta account. I believe after 8 lines, there's a related but different 9-12 line Magenta plan that you get moved to.

How to send screenshots here? And yes that's how much I pay every month for 3 lines. Is this worth the hassle ? If this is true. I'd be paying $40 for 4 lines. Omg. I'm afraid it'll f up my original plan.
Don't waste your time. If I am not mistaken, your plan max out at 3 lines. TMobile will change your plan to a newer plan to qualify this deal but you will loose your Hook Up, Kick Back. If you swapped to 4 for $100 One Plan when you had a chance, then you will be able to participate this promotion.

Looks like Magenta has 12 line maximum so you are good for a free line.
When they had this promo the last time, tforce said that if they put me on the 12 line plan my bill would increase by 12 bucks.

Mostly it would be esim which is activated then. Here's how you can check
1. If you have iPhone 12 box then note down the IEMI and IEMI2 numbers
2. Go to settings --> about --> scroll all the way down
3. Check the IEMI that is active, you should see carrier as t-mobile. If the IEMI number is the IEMI2 number on the box then esim is active

Be careful with that 20% off if you're on an older plan. I'm on T-Mobile One and they mock moved me to Magenta and the hookup code would not apply they said. So never switch plans without having them mock move you to it first. Just a FYI.
Who ever told you that lied to you. The 20 % works just fine with Magenta and Magenta Plus. The rap just probably didn't know how to move the discount over. They was able to add the discount to my account after I kept having issues. I have Magenta Plus and I three free lines and tomorrow will be number four. The free lines will go to my kids when it's time. Now I hope they do it one more time.

SOC and all these names... I'm on T-Mobile one. Have 4 lines, one unused. I looked at these development tool tabs etc and I'm not getting any of these things to open on my browser (Firefox and chrome).

What do I need to do to get a free line? Explain to me if I were 5. Thank you so much.

I am planning to switch back to T-mobile. I currently have 4 lines on AT&T. I need only 1 iPhone 12Pro and rest all would by BYOD. I am also a Costco member.

Could someone please guide on how to get the best value out of the available promotions? Its too confusing given the sheer number of promotions. Appreciate the efforts. Thank you.

It has to be done on desktop browser or on the phone you need to switch desktop site after in your phone browser. I think you will get messed up because I don't think you are in a regular T-Mobile one plan.

Then that is "Cali" adding the Tax... Added a "free line" in July, no changes to my bill at all.. (Texas)
It has to do with whether or not your plan includes taxes and 911 fees etc. or not. . .i.e. if you are on their current Magenta generation of plans with Taxes and fees included in total. State you live in is not the issue unless on grandfathered plan. This will unfortunately be one of the reasons they will eventually move on from Magenta being the "current" available plan. Some states take a big chunk out of these Magenta plan totals. My Magenta plan is $96 for for 7 lines Magenta (after tomorrow), so paying $96 total, and $40+ of that is taxes and gov't fees etc. built in. Many states take a bigger chunk out of that $96 for 7. . .

Ask T-Mobile representative what is your plan SOC code, it is easier for you!
If your plan is eligible, open a line anywhere you will be automatically enrolled in free line promo
