I was able to qualify for this line however the rep over chat said it would cost 30 to activate and get the sim card and it would be free thereafter. The last free line I did during thanksgiving was totally free with no activation charge nor a sim card charge. Can someone clarify?

To everyone read the OP "PSA: COSTCO BYOD IS NOT STACKABLE!
They specifically call this out in the docs this time."
We have a reading comprehension issue in US. All these folks going to Costco to avoid the 10.00 sim fee or getting the 100.00 cash card will be chatting with T-mobile reps why their free line is now paid line? Can't wait for the complaints to begin next month.

That is true. Some people have been able to get it waived, it is a hit or miss. But make sure you really qualify. just got mine removed because they came back and said i dont qualify

What do you mean by applying to both Costco and T-Mobile rebates? I thought there was just the $100 Costco rebate we're talking about.
Costco has $100 rebates, and T-mobile has $100 rebates. I tried to claim both of them at the same time.

Sadly to hear that, as I checked my plan is eligible for this "rumor" promotion but I do have a same concern. I actually don't essential need a voice line but I need more extra data^^ This free line meets my expectation.
The guy double checked and confirmed that my plan indeed does not qualify. Removed the line and credited my 10 $ for the sim card. That was a waste of time.

The line showed up on your account right away or it will show up when you receive the simcard?

Added the line at Costco, I didn't want the BYOD rebate but the rep still gave me the paperwork. I don't know if I should submit or not...
Did he give rebate paperwork without you providing imei?

Any free or cheap phone deals that will stack with the free lines? It's just a spare line for me so I don't need anything fancy. If not I'll just buy something used off eBay.

how many max lines can you have with Tmobile Essentials or Magenta plan?
Apparently, 15.

I know I can't take advantage of this promo at this time no matter what. I'm just trying to figure out if I have to wait a full 90 days from taking benefit of the free-line-on-us a couple of weeks ago and getting the phone promo or can I cancel my two spare unused lines as soon as my trade in is accepted and the credit is posted.

I just added a line at Costco and got congrats text for promo but my total went up. Do we have to apply that data trick of changing it to show up?
Did you read the part where Costco is not stackable? If you don't care, enjoy your paid line now.🙂
