I'm aware. Like I said, I did this before this post was updated to show that Costco BYOD cannot stack, so I already went to Costco and did it as a BYOD. So I'm wondering do I just not file for the $100 Costco card, do I cancel the Costco line, and/or do I just add another line?
Just don't file the costco rebate.

May as well add my data point.

I had a TMO One acct - FRLTULF2. The 2 for $120 one
First six lines are paid. All have kickback and One Plus Promo.

Added free line on Nov 27th via Costco. Automatically eligible as "2020 Line On Us 3."
Did the usual rebates ($200, $100 port, Pixel 4A 5G)

Added another line via Costco today, Dec 21. Like others have noted, system auto records it ALSO as "2020 Line On Us 3" but doubled the amount from $20 to $40.

Called in to confirm as much. Rep noted the discount is taking, and that I should get a text to ensure it. But he put it in my notes that I am entitled to it. I will call back in a month.

Like others have noted, its easy for reps to confuse the free line with "3rd line free". I stipulated to the rep that this IS NOT THAT OFFER.

Added One Plus Promo without issue.

Conclusion:
- One Plus Promo easy to add to new lines
- The free line is still being recorded as "line on us 3"

TBD:
- Costco $100 BYOD Rebate

Switch to oneplus plan 2 lines for $120 which has the SOC - FRLTULF2. Go through the T-force rep who can migrate all your promotions to the new plan. Ask them if they can switch you to the new plan along with all your existing promotions.
Thanks. Reading up a few page. Will give it a go.

Question for all you T-mo gurus.

I got a text saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-mobile as long as you maintain eligibility" View URL for account details".

I opened the URL and shows that my bill is going up from $115 to $150.
Should I be worried?
I'm currently with Magenta Plus, 2 paid lines, 2 free. And I just applied for the 3rd free line.

Isn't it if somebody calls your old number, your phone with new number will ring, but if you call out with your phone, your old number won't show to the person on the other end?
with GoogleVoice, both calls in and calls out are via the "old number"
The main disadvantage is that youre beholden to the GoogleVoice app, which doesnt have the most capable texting. You cant send videos, for example. Also, random promotion texts (like Chipotle deals) dont work through it.

However, this is all a small price to pay for ultimate number portability.

Where did you guys port in from?

I got mine denied also for the same reason but I was thinking it's due to i ported in from Google voice which was a risk anyway so I didn't bother to call T-Mobile to find out more details.
Mine was from Cricket. The number was with Sprint till June end, but was moved to Visible and then to Cricket before it was moved a few days after Thanksgiving to T-Mo.

Right and I understand that. And if it happens, it happens, I'm okay with paying it.

And if it doesn't happen, then I got a free phone and a free line. I'm willing to take that chance.
Fair enough, enjoy your Oneplus 8 phone 🤓

that's weird and it shouldn't affect your previously obtained free line, call them again and talk to someone else, a lot of the times the reps don't know what they are talking about.
Alright i guess seeing no one else had this problem, then it was most likely my customer rep. I will give it another try. Thanks!

As long as you qualified it should be reflected on the account as a credit when the SIM card ships or after 24 hours usually.

Curios. Did they also apply the One Plus Promo and kickback to the new free lines? They only applied that to my existing lines that had the promo when I switched from ineligible 2/$100 to 2/$100 plan but not to the new free line.

I applied kickback to six lines at once back in 2017 (one year after opening the account)
The last two lines were free, so they cant apply kickback to something which costs $0 (I did try, though)

They applied One Plus promo when I asked. I mainly cited that my other lines already have it, and Id like them to all have the same feature set. No problem on the three occasions that I have asked them to do so (2017, last month, and tonight).

Mind you, all three occasions, the One Plus Promo was no longer openly available. In 2017,I couldve added the full One Plus (with more in-flight browsing, more hotspot, etc) for $5, but I preferred the free one. I cant remember fully, but I think the 2017 rep added them because my account was created during the time the Promo came about.

U should have entered ported number....because temp number they assigned gets canceled once you port...when they verify the rebate...it shows that number is canceled...also rebate form says enter permanent number....even though rep enters temp number on rebate form....
I think you didn't understand me. I said I intered the original number which is the same one I ported. Basically Costco ported the number instantly so I didn't have to port the number later. The costco rebate showed that number.

Good to see that some others corroborate this idea. I have no issue waiting until next December to convert two paid lines to free ones (also got the November one).

When the time comes, Is there a more efficient way than porting out to another carrier and then porting back in?
Unless you're on a greenstone
Grandfathered plan, once you cancel paid line, it cancels the old plan ... if anyone has a world workaround, please enlighten!
