Wouldn't even consider it unless 50% off.
Compared tooooo........???
I feel their bread smells like sweaty socks.
A $15 sub is a giant and is considered to be enough food to feed 2-3 people. It is equal to 3-5" minis or 2-7.5" regulars. The giant is there to save you a couple bucks if 2 people are getting the same sandwich. $7.50/person is a pretty reasonable lunch/dinner in today's prices. Sure 1 person can polish off a giant by themselves if they have a huge appetite but a 15" sandwich isn't the norm for 95% of people.

A giant Jimmy John's is anywhere from $11-$16?!? Where are you getting $8? I will agree with you that the JM veggie is not a very robust option but they are adding a grilled portabella vegi option in the next month or 2 if you want a veggie. BTW, I charge $13 for my giant veggie at my JM stores.

Thanks for the heads-up on the upcoming portabella option- may have to try that.
Subway 6": 2.5 oz ($4.55)
Jimmy Johns 8": 3.0 oz ($6.00)
Jersey Mike's 7": 6.5 oz ($7.59)
For both Subway and Jimmy Johns, it's approx. an extra $1.50 for double meat. So, if you take the amount of meat per sandwich and add up what it would cost to contain the amount of meat in a Jersey Mike's sub, Jersey Mike's works out to be about 50-60 cents more than Subway, and a few cents less than Jimmy John's.
In my area, it seems like Subway always has coupons, Jersey Mike's occasionally, and Jimmy Johns never...
So when people say Jersey Mike's is over priced, I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

JJ's, to me, is way more inferior than JM's...by a long shot. I've never left JJ's and felt satisfied...bland white bread.
