To answer some of the many questions about the low trade-in value shown. I have done this sorts of trade-in with T-Mobile before, It's a 2 part deal, It doesn't show the full $800 amount, THAT'S NORMAL.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.

PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

Voila.

Awesome deal for my S9. Wonder if Costco comes up with rebate deal instead of this EIP deal. Prefer outright deal.

I have Note 9. IF I go with this deal, what am I losing/gaining?

Let's say S21 Ultra for $399 after trade in.

Looks like I gain 5G, slightly faster processor, POSSIBLY better camera probably better trade in value later.
Loses headphone jack, SD card slot.

What if I get S21 256GB for $50 after trade in? $800 trade in is PROBABLY the best I would get for my Note 9 going forward IMHO.

From what i gather, there is no added line requirement for trade in (only for BOGO), correct?
If you love the Note series, wait for the next iteration of the Note. The 21 Ultra is not designed around the s-pen like the Note series.

Yeah I'm confused if I'm getting $720 bill credits how come it's still saying I need to pay $35.12 x 24 during check out?

Read my earlier posts. If unsure of trade in value, do it in-store. I am well aware of your posts in various threads. So, don't intend to explain any further.

Is that applicable to phone purchase? You are only paying tax for the phone though, so it's 5% of like $75 only. How soon can you pay off the phone in full though? That may make sense even with the 0% loan.

Others have the same question. If don't divulge your info, don't participate in the forum, as what you're saying is just confusing people.

Don't know why you're being like this, they're fair questions that aren't addressed in this post. When you get to the checkout page, it shows that you owe XX per month, it makes no mention of potential bill credits.

Am I better off trading in an S20 FE or an S10e? Which one do you think will get more in a trade-in down the road? If something were to happen to the new S21, I'd prefer going back to the S20 FE so I'll probably trade the S10e. I doubt very much that the S10e will ever fetch more than the S20 FE, but maybe the other way around, even though this time it's the same.

What is your cost now? Factor in Sales Tax and check if you paid it here or if it was offset by instant credit. I was confused too in October last year, but got cleared after I tallied it up.

Why they charge a $20 fee? Is there anyway around it?
Yes, buy it on line at Tmobile.com.

I have explained very nicely in several other responses here. Many others know this as well about PossumLodge. You can check his history and prior "contributions".

For # 3, you mean you can not use that same line for a upgrade, correct? I have S20FE on couple of lines that has about 20 monthly credits pending. I am thinking of paying off S20FEs, trade those and get S21 on free lines that I got during last two months. Do you see any issues with that? TIA.
You should be fine because even you paid off, credits continue to apply for the next 20 months on that line while your s21 credits on another. I've done this on the SE promo, paid off, got it unlocked & sold the phone & I still received the credits.

But this is never mentioned on the checkout page at all, just that you're getting $80 for your device. Is that just how T-Mobile does it? Would have to buy a phone full price and miss the deal.
Your trade in value is determined once your device is shipped to them and they evaluatng it. That's why I suggested doing this in-store to avoid unnecessary delays and possibility of a denial.

We traded in two iPhone 7, one iPhone XR and one Samsung S10e when we opened our account last October all in-store and got credited the same way as shown here.
