This cot is excellent quality. I bought a couple from Amazon few years ago for approximately $36 each.
sure. some, possibly disgusting smelling stranger and their unkempt wildlife pets may have lived on and done god-knows-what on it for a few weeks before returning it - it's a dollar and change cheaper for the wear and tear (possibly smells and light staining)!
Walmart same price

It was small enough to be away from the nurses path and a big enough for me to stretch out completely and be horizontal for proper rest

My Costco has a ton of a very similar style for $35. Cascade Mountain Cot. Debating on getting a few. Only concerns are weight of 19 pounds and if fabric tears easily.

Sleeping in any temperature under 60, it gets very cold on the bottom. Its like the fabric turns into your skin.. You need a pad and sleeping bag
Agree, I used to have one of these for a few years and now I have 2 different Thermarest self inflatable mattresses including the top of the line Mondo King. Once you try these type of mattresses you'll never go back. This cot is old tech, based out of the 50's or something. The only people who buy these are the ones who don't know about how good today's mattresses are.

I owned one of these and found it a bit uncomfortable for my size. I then bought a Byers of Maine Easy Cot, and that is a damn fine cot. I am a big guy at 6'3 230lbs, and that was wide enough and had no cross bar. I ended up selling it to a buddy because I scored a pair of brand new XL Disco Beds on FB Marketplace $150. Now these are these best cots I have ever owned. My only complaint is they are pretty heavy, but that's a good thing for quality and just car camping. That being said, this summer I took my family on a tour of some National Parks. 15 days on the rode and tent camping. I purchased two Camp Rite Economy cots for my wife and I since they only weight 7 lbs and can fit in luggage (we flew to SD and renting a car). She is 5'6 130 and loved hers, but mine was too narrow. Great support though and very versatile, though setup is tricky and takes practice. I hope you have enjoyed my experience with 4 different cots, lol.

got mine today. immediately took it out to see how hard it is to put together. i planned to use the set it on one end, step on the bar, and use your foot and upper body to put the tension bar in place.

however, just putting the first tension bar on, broke off one of the plastic "nubs" that inserts into the recessed part of the tension bar!! i thought I had remember seeing this being a common issue on the amazon reviews and checked again, and yep, at least a handful of people posted broken plastic end pieces.

i think the construction of the plastic "nubs" allows for some weak ones to make it through. the other three felt like they would hold up... so i already setup an exchange through amazon. we will see...

Even the military cot plastic part brokens. It's more like design flawless.
