Chair shopping is the worst... why is every chair like 4.5 Stars and up, and then the reviews are like "its like sitting on a lopsided pile of trash... I bought 20!"

better tested it out before buying.
i got one for 120 two year ago from staples. it hurts after sitting for more than one hour. my main complain is that the mesh is too lose and you weight end up on the front frames toward your leg, preventing blood circulation. I am 6.1 and weigh 190 lb. ended up giving away shortly after.

i have, between home and my office, HM aeron size B (home and office), HM emboday (office), steelcase amia (office), humanscale freedom (office, easily the worse chair for me), workpro 9000 (home). dollar for dollar, you cannot beat workpro 9000 for my need. i recommend spend a little bit more and get a much better chair.

Warning: this chair is SUPER narrow between the arms. There is no width adjustment on them although there is like an inch of slide when you install the arms but even at the widest point these are still super narrow. If you're above average size in the thigh area (do you even lift bro?) you will not fit comfortably between these arms. Sadly too because this is one of my favorite chairs of this style that regularly goes on sale otherwise. If you can fit comfortably between the arms this chair is not a bad deal for what it is.

Bought mine about a month ago. It's certainly an upgrade from my old chair but like others have said it has some issues.

Pros:
-My butt no longer hurts even after hours of sitting.
-Chair feels well built.
-Shipping was crazy fast and free.

Cons:
-Very narrow.
-Lumbar support can become a bit painful after a while due to how "sharp" the edges of it are.
-When leaning back there is nowhere to rest your arms/elbows. (When gaming with a controller this is kinda lame)
-Headrest is (initially) too low.

I've mitigated the lumbar support and headrest cons with "mods" (can be found through Google searches for mods for this chair). The headrest is now perfect and the lumbar is better but still hurts after a while.
All in all, I'm happy with the chair and prefer it to my 1 year old gaming chair.

Thanks for the tip... Was curious if this or the Dexley but this comment is pretty helpful next to actually trying it fwiw

and I can squat 220 3x5 and DL just under 300?

Yes they do. Bought thr hyken like 3 or 4 years ago. Got a new chair sent to me a month ago. 7 year warranty for the hyken is really good.
