Project Farm has a great video testing different impact driver bits. The Milwaukee is the clear winner overall. He tested a Makita gold though and doesn't include the ImpactX.

You get substantially more variety in the Milwaukee 120 piece set. You get all the metric and SAE hex bits with the milwaukee set (0 in Makita set) and more slotted. The Makita set does give you quite a few more 2" bits though, which is nice.
If you don't need the variety of the more complete Milwaukee set, I'd recommend the 45 piece Makita XPS set for $19.99. Has most of what you need, should be better than the Makita X in terms of performance.
Right??? I bought the 120 in November and the 100 + Packout a few weeks ago. I wanted all the 2" bits, the double sideds, and the packout from that deal. Rearranged my cases for specific needs. I'm good on bits for now. haha.
I tried to private message you with this but can't send pics or attachments in PM. Saw this new signage and end cap this morning at the Depot. Must be what's in the main Q1 promos and seems to match the Buy More Save More from Tool Boss video.

Yeah that looks like the same thing from tool boss's vid. On the m12 side, I already have the stubby and multi tool, but wouldn't mind getting the die grinder, cut off and vacuum. On the m18 side, will hold off. The hack always works better for savings when returning the free battery. Example: brad nailer comes out to $166 after returning the free 8.0 (what I did). I almost spent the $500 last year getting the super sawzall and rear handle to get $150 off, but held off, and got free 8.0's when I bought each later which I later sold for $80-90 each. Not a bad deal if you don't to deal with the headache tho. Again, if you can get the deal and hack it by returning the battery, value of that 8.0 goes to $100 or more. It's insane.
