I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

My first ever card and still have it. I was rejected by so many due to no history of credit and this quick silver was my very first one.
In addition to that 1.5% you may get rebates on specific websites for eg: 8% on macys.com, or 6% on bose.com. You have to click that and complete the purchase with your capitalone card. It's a nice additional perk available on all capital one card.
i got the $200 savor card bonus previously but got a "we want you back" mailer on the quicksilver offering $200 again...can i get the quicksilver bonus if i previously got the savor?
I was targeted for the $300 sign up bonus and applied got accepted for a 7k credit limit. I have a checking account and auto loan with them. Also have about a 760 score at the moment.
810 FICO score and was declined. I've avoided Capital One since my college days, guess I'm not missing out. The application asked if I normally carry a CC balance (I never do) and if I would be transferring a balance to this card if I approved (uh duh?). I answered NO to both; maybe that's why I was declined. I suppose they're looking to recover the cash bonus with exorbitant interest rates while the FED sits at 0%. Godspeed...
I also replied no to both and was accepted. Also have a 760 score at the moment
I don't care how much capital one is paying Slickdeals for this post, it's not worth getting your identity stolen when capital one inevitably has another breach
They approved first and shipped the card with 15k limit, later asked me to send the copy of SSN card as proof of identity. I said f no! I haven't activated the card, will probably trash it.
Do you guys just keep signing up for all these credit cards to get the easy $200 cash back? So you have 100s of no annual fee CC just open and never use or you cancel them?

There aren't 100s of cards you can get -- diff banks have diff approval requirements so you would need to be mindful of that
I usually try to open 2-4 cards/yr for myself and same thing for family member -- you just need to figure out what you're comfortable with and go from there
Cards with an annual fee are fine as well -- usually the bonus outweighs the fee for the 1st year
Cards with no annual fee you can keep open (unless you end up with too many from same bank) -- cards with a fee you can try to downgrade to no fee card after 1yr otherwise close it

it could be that one category that kept me from getting a checking account with capitol one. i forget what its called but if you showed suspicious activity recently then they would deny you. and it could be for something as simple as opening and closing a bank account within a few months.

Never close a card with no annual fee. There's no logical reason in most cases to do so
I would turn u down
Freeze your credit and you'll be fine
