You can get it cheaper straight from Lavazza with a coupon. And it comes with free coffee pods.

I would say around 25ยข per capsule or less. My last order was with Italy Best Coffee through Amazon $50 for 200 caps Lavazza BLUE Espresso Intenso blend.

Really good machine, best pod espresso I've found other than the Illy IperEspresso machines, and those Illy pods cost a lot more and have a lot less variety.

I prefer this over a superautomatic. It's cheap(er) to buy and feed, and it's good enough for my daily use.

Just curious, is the Lavazza pods cheap & good enough to compare with Nespresso regular line which is more versatile? Getting into the pod system for the first time so just curious.

Lavazza BLUE capsules have more coffee in them. So in that regard, you get more for your money with Lavazza. The differences are also in temperature and strength while comparing those two. Lavazza is stronger and slightly hotter. Bottom line: Lavazza's BLUE coffee system delivers best value for the money out there. This is my experience and opinion.

I have a Lavazza BLUE machine at home and a Nespresso at work and I concur. The Nespresso flavors seem to be stronger, but the actual coffee flavor itself seems to be stronger in the Lavazza. Nespresso has an almost fake taste to it, where the Lavazza tastes closer to a true espresso shot. I much prefer the Lavazza, especially since their capsules seem to be cheaper. Just significantly less options for Lavazza capsules if you're the type to like all the different Nespresso flavors.

EDIT: I also think it's worth noting that at least from my experience, you can only buy the Lavazza pods in boxes of 100, whereas Nespresso sleeves come in a quantity of 10. Again, if you're the type to switch from flavor to flavor, then Nespresso has the edge there.

If it is important to you, the plastic capsules vs. Nespresso/Peet's/Starbucks/etc. aluminum capsules and recycling aspects, is something to take into account as well,

These may be okay to throw in your city recycling, but some locales to do not want them. If you can recycle, little more hassle to empty out coffee and separate plastic from foil.

And plastic, even when recyclable is still much less green than aluminum.

It's a proprietary system just like all the other coffee machines out there, Keurig, Nespresso, etc. This capsule espresso maker uses Lavazza BLUE and Lavazza Expert capsules. They are specifically designed to fit and work with this system only. It's not a bad thing. There are a lot of opinions out there, but in my opinion Lavazza BLUE is better.

If you like milk based coffee drinks (cappuccino, macchiato, latte) this machine is better in the long run. https://slickdeals.net/f/14778025-lavazza-lb400-classy-plus-all-in-one-plus-expert-coffee-bundle-lb-400-1-welcome-kit-of-36-capsules-1-extra-vessel-189-70-after-25-coupon-and-15-s-s-discount?src=catpagev2

I don't want to risk contamination of my city's recycle for a few pods. So I trash these. But I still do open up and empty out the coffee into a utensil and collect them through the week. On the weekends I dump them into a mini "compost" pit. Every month or so I move this soil around my plants.
I wish there was a better way to manage these pods.
