So many bad reviews on Costco.com can't be wrong about the video cam/mic issues.
If you need a reliable laptop urgently for online classes or work from home, this HP is not a safe bet.
The Lenovo Ideapad 5 at Costco for the same price has no such issues with video cam/mic.
We have used it for a week for online classes and it's been reliable.
No bloatware either.
Both these laptops seem pricey for $650, but it is the pandemic effect :-(
If you can afford to wait for a better deal, that might be ideal.
They just do not know how to update the amd drivers.
This has got to be one of the dumbest comments ever on all levels.
The Lenovo product page [lenovo.com] shows that its a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port (which is 5gbps) with Displayport 1.2.
EDIT: It seems the intel version has Displayport 1.4 in the HP, but the Ryzen version is Displayport 1.2...but both are still 10gbps ports.

HP says " AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700U (8-Core) Processor at 2.0 GHz"
So isnt the Intel i7 faster since its 2.8GHz versus AMD 2.0 GHz?
Exactly. I always use this site:

You'll probably need a ryzen i9, upgrade to 32gb ram and get a 350w power adapter for that.
