YMMV: TIP have everything set up in your cart. Sit on it for a few hours. Close the window for another hour or so. Eventually HP will take off another $60. Using id.me I got $55 off as well. 1% CB from your favorite CB site. It helps.

I got this one for a little under $1600:

I know it's more expensive, but it is 100% a Max P 3070 with 16 GB of 3200 RAM, and a 5800H... and it's not HP. Don't have many good experiences with HP.

You shouldn't buy that with 8 GB of ram. A more reasonable config is about $1300.

My total was $1298 with tax (3070, keyboard, 512gb). Not sure if it applied only military or if the perksatwork did anything. In for a cancellation coupon if nothing else.

Well if you plan on upgrading to 32gb ram 8gb is fine. But if you are fine with the 16gb ram the the $50 upgrade is worth it

The 5800H and 3070 combo seems like a price error. At that price its hard to find even 10750h and 2070 config.

I just ordered from Newegg HP OMEN 15.6" Customized Gaming Laptop | 8-Core AMD Ryzen 7 4800H | 16GB DDR4 RAM 512GB SSD | FHD IPS 144Hz Display | GeForce GTX 1660Ti Graphics for $1159.29 total (no tax) ships Mar 2. I have been checking slickdeals all weekend and came back after the order was placed.
Should I cancel for this deal with the $1150 config?
Will I even notice the performance difference? Which one would have the better battery life?

Also, this chassis from HP is very well reviewed to have good cooling and BQ. Only second to Legion 5. So expect good thermal performance. The only question is the wattage on the 3060/3070.

Remember the shipping date is 3/26 and take up to 12 days to ship. So won't get it until middle of April which components availability and price can change by that time.

HUGE difference in performance with the 3000 series Nvidia chips. But it also kinda depends on what wattage these are running on. But given the same chassis, it should still be a significant improvement.
