Looks good from a storage to cost ratio. It does not support hard drive encryption and I doubt it can support TRIM commands.

Incorrect. From tom's:

"You'll need to format the portable SSD with an NTFS file system if you want to take advantage of the TRIM functionality."

Hardware encryption on hard drives has had a lot of security issues in recent years. The general recommendation is to use software encryption, ideally open source if possible.

Crucial and Samsung had major SSD encryption issues exposed in 2018. Western Digital in 2015.

Probably an odd form factor judging by its size but most importantly it probably doesn't have a standard power port or sata interface (the usb connection/board is probably soldered onto the drive).
