I haven't heard that trick. Will give that a try.
If that does not work, restart the puck with USB plug-in.

I just tried the trick in moving USB to pc and back but still getting the "No coinopsx files found". Is there another way to reset the puck besides just unplugging the power cord? I've already powered down and still same issue... I wonder if it's the usb stick I'm using or the new firmware that I installed

Did you create two partitions on the flash drive? The first for it to format and the second to mount? Make sure to put CoinOps on the second partition.

Yup, created two partitions based on guides I found on YouTube. Creating 4Gb first partition (fat32) and the rest of the drive space in the second partition (exFat)

Did you follow the YouTube video from post #191 or a similar set of steps?

I followed this video exactly and had no problems. Maybe watching it and seeing if there's anything different going on might help. A different step or something.

Yes I did follow that video. Only thing I did differently was I organized the files on my computer and then ran addonx on that folder before transferring them all to the USB just so that addonx ran faster. Should I go back and run addonx on my USB instead?

I made one folder on my desktop for CoinOps and one folder on my desktop for the addon tool. I then ran the addon tool from the folder on my desktop to add CoinOps from a folder on my desktop to the second partition of the flash drive. It doesn't take too long. Mine took about 50 minutes to transfer.

Edit: Not sure what version you are using of CoinOps but I'm using V4.5. I think that video recommends 4?

Yes I have v4.5. It's strange that it says "No coinopsx files found" when trying to run coinopsx, even though I'm able to install and uninstall it just fine on my puck. I may try a smaller game pack on a different usb to see if that makes a difference. Thanks for all the tips guys. Hope can figure something out soon to be able to enjoy the old school arcade games!

I'm using a 128gb flash drive. Not sure what you meant about organizing files, but I didn't touch anything. I downloaded CoinOps from Archive . Org. Unzipped it into a desktop folder. Downloaded AddonX Tool 1.0.19 into a separate desktop folder. Then installed addonx and ran it. Told it that I wanted to build in the second partition of the flash drive. Plugged it into the puck and formatted, then mounted and it worked. I'm surprised any of it worked. Mainly because I don't have a clue what I'm doing, technology tends to hate me, and it was dumb luck I didn't have any issues. Best of luck with yours!

Mines running good and I'm using a 128gb flash drive. Hasn't crashed once and I've played the heck out of it. I'm using the CoinopsX Arcade V4.5 - Yippee-Ki-Yay saUCEy Edition and used AddonX Tool 1.0.19.

I literally have no clue what I'm doing, but followed this video and it all ran smoothly.

Using this flash drive:

Samsung FIT Plus USB 3.1 Flash Drive 128GB - (MUF-128AB/AM) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PD...UTF8&psc=1

FWIW, I also upgraded to bat toppers and put in 4lb springs, but I'm not noticing much of a difference with the springs. Perhaps they were already 4lb? The video below replaces the 2lb springs, but his has the spinners and our Walmart ones do not. So maybe the springs are different too. His also has square restrictor gates and he replaces them with octagon ones. This Walmart one has octagons ones, not square.

https://youtu.be/o9rKWr8W4FY

I also plugged in a usb hub and have the flash drive plugged in, along with Xbox one controllers (plug and play through usb cord into the hub). This thing is really awesome for what it is.
I follow the the same YouTube video but I am having hard time downloading. I used Reddit instructions for yippee (37.2gb) but it crashes at the end of the download. I am using Samsung 128gb usb. Do I need to download all the files or some particular files to make it work?

After you install coinopsx , do you run right away. If so how long does it take before you have all the games loaded in the scrolling screen?

I did at the beginning but after all this rebooting of the puck I may need to check my login status

Yup just checked and I've been logged in. I just logged back out and back in to see if that helps.
