Reddit discussion: [reddit.com]You have to do a factory reset using the faq on the atgames site. The screen prompt will ask you to press the C button but on the Gamer pro there is no C button so use the R2 instead. It does a factory reset and will ask you to update again but when you update it will all function now.

These at 99 on clearance are fine, but at full retail microcenter is clear winner and a pi 4 is way more capable.

Thanks Fubarz for mentioning the different PC coinops frontends I can try out in the future. The world of "coinops next" is endless with even more arcade/console games on a good dedicated gaming PC with large ssd/hdd. --that should provide the definitive arcade experience versus with the small puck.
-----
It was nice they threw in this Atgames puck with their ecosystem for more flexibility @ $99, in case you don't have a dedicated gaming PC,
but I really only purchased this for the controller, for a cabinet type experience on our PC.
.
Tested Coinops Next 2 and works excellent as well. Other front ends will also get to soon.
Sorry cannot nothing personal. Its very simple to make just keep trying like I did. Took me like 5 times to make it right and thats including running AddOnX Tool each time that takes 55m with my 480GB SSD
I was thinking of using an ssd over using usb. Have you noticed a big difference?
Also are you using the 2 usb setup or a single USB setup?

I have noticed it better with slight delay and hickups like I had with the 128GB usb.
Some here are having alot more issues then me using the PUCK, but when it comes to playing 100% with zero delays then you need to use the deck into a PC front-end like Coinops Next 2 and or Coinops Diamonds puckless

Yes I'm leaning towards going with pc possibly depending on how the install is. . Have you tried any of the Coinops Pc front ends ? I'm wondering if the v4.5 sauce pack reusable with PC
I am assuming we have to find new packages online to set up the PC version of coinops next etc; unsure if we can reuse our 4.5 sauce package unless we unzip All The UCE files, and remake the package ourself in the proper folder structure for the pc. So it may be a good idea to just set aside purchasing more hdds or SSDs for that setup.
I think the Puck is still playable on many games for a good while as stated by many here esp who the input lag does not bother. It's just after playing for a while, those ultra competitive frantic button mashing games have issues eg. Street fighter2 turbo, and the higher levels on shooters like centipede, vanguard etc.
--I plan to continue using the puck since I already installed coinopsx on a 64gb and 128gb flash drive....So I will keep playing the Puck version before I setup a PC coinops version later.
--In the future I will eventually set up a super PC "coinops next 2" version on another external 1tb hdd or ssd... A good project to use this controller down the road...May be within the next many months since it sounds like a big project.
When you plug in your usb drive, the usb icon on the upper right should STOP blinking in <10-15 secs. It doesn't seem to depend on the number of games on your usb drive. If it continues blinking for >1 min, then your usb is not setup correctly. I think the AddOnXTool is buggy when it's run against too many games (yippee has >1500 games). Split the package in 1/2 (or 1/3 even), with 700-800 games each. Run AddOnXTool on the 1st 1/2, MAKE SURE you see the successfully built message at the end. If the tool simply disappears, that means it crashed and didn't complete, and you probably need to game size even more. After the 1st 1/2 is completed, COMBINE the 2nd 1/2 with the 1st, and run AddOnXTool on the entire package, it'd would recognize the previous built games and only build the 2nd batch you've added. If this also complete successfully, then you usb drive is good to go. This is what worked for me ...
Previously, I had a green check mark showing on the coinops in the UI, but no numbers. After running AddonX software on the different computer I got the success statement. Then, I went to format and mount and run coinops and STILL got the no coinops file found error message. BUT it showed a zero instead of a check mark on coinops. So, I unplugged and rebooted and then had the number 5 show up on coinops. THEN it ran.
Hope this helps someone!
I just finished installing a large 88gb of files (NES,SNES, Sega, Atari,Amiga, C64,TG16, Daphne), on a 128gb samsung fit plus drive, and ran AddonX fine on a pc success in 1hr. Then I saw the same error message as you,( it showed a zero instead of a check mark on coinops).....
So I will try your last suggestion by rebooting it, and see if it works...update: everything worked well after a reboot just as krungus stated.
ATTENTION COINOPS X USERS v5 is coming (i cannot say how soon, but i can say a couple of us are testing it), with that said....you will need at least a 128GB drive/card to enjoy v5......STAY TUNED!!!
