I bought 3 of these last time. I do a lot of engineering design so they're perfect for that. Also I have my work PC, Surface Book 2, and PS4 plugged into them. All look great, resolution looks great. Love the PnP too and you can split screen the input which also works great with MX Keys.

Do what you like for you but for me it works the way I want it to.
Because you need more distance to see the whole screen at once. If it's curved it will allow you to be closer and see everything at once. This is important in gaming.
Wish it was curved... would that cost a ton more?

Picked one up today at my local Costco. Definitely a nice monitor for the price. Sure beats my dual 24" 1080p setup.

I was just about to do the dual 24", this is a better option?

I'd avoid this monitor altogether for gaming. No VRR/Adaptive Sync, lower refresh rate.

It has FreeSync

Anyone who has this. How sturdy would you say it is? I'm using an old 24" 1080 monitor working from my parent's place once a week and really want to upgrade to something bigger.
The monitor sits on a chair in the corner out of the way and I need to move it to the dining room table and back as I don't have a permanent setup there. Worried could cause issues being moved around so often.

I hate monitors who give out resolutions and then the only way to get that resolution is with a display port (no audio) instead of HDMI.

I was considering this to replace my dual 24" setup. Curious why you prefer it so much vs 2 x 24"?

I wonder, is it really that much more expensive to manufacture it curved?

Probably more to do with shipping boxes

Probably reduces the amount of monitors in a container from Asia by a significant amount

Thanks, I was trying to post from the app it wasn't giving me the option. Had to go to desktop.

Hmm.. I just ordered dual 31.5" Lenovo ones from Office depot... considering getting this instead.
Mostly WFH and photography editing. The IPS vs VA is hanging me up...

lolwat? It outputs audio through HDMI. It doesn't have built in speakers but it does have a lineout so you can get audio output from your source.

Here is my second one:

PS4 (Destiny 2) vs. Work PC. As you can see I have 3 different sources input and I can choose what configuration I want to see.

Obviously I do not play like that, I play full screen and it plays just fine.

I had a 38" UW curved from dell in my WFH office. It was beautiful. And it was a super pain in the butt. I ended up spending way too much time sizing windows. If you double click on a window it would expand out to the full screen instead of split. I ended up using software so I could setup zone, then shift expand... In the end I found I was wasting a ton of time trying to manage the screen real estate. I went back to 2x 24" monitors and won't go back to a UW until they can make it function like 2 screens in a better fashion.

This , text clarity. I bought a similar model Samsung last November. I only use this monitor for spreadsheet work in addition to my laptop and 25 inch Dell monitor. The 34 inch just barely fits all my columns without having to scroll.

My only problem is I had to do lots of monitor adjustments and clear type adjustments before the text was not as dull and more clear. I still use this for sure but if I knew I would have paid more for something where the text was more sharp and not dull.

I have this monitor is hooked up to an old MBP via DisplayPort and have no legibility issues with Excel or anything else.

I'm a dev, I bought this as a programming monitor over the weekend. So far, I'm satisfied with this purchase. I previously had an IPS LG curved monitor of the same size owned by my company. This is not a gaming monitor. Not what you want as a graphics designer either. It was a little short for me, so I did raise it on blocks. So far, I'm very pleased with this purchase. The picture quality is not noticeable to my eyes over the old IPS (not side by side). For productivity, this is fine for me. It's not as bright as IPSes, but I have to turn those down to be comfortable anyway. The input switching mechanism is great, which matters because I have two machines. It will pick up the active signal automatically if only one of my machines is active. There is a toggle button on the back that is a press and a couple of clicks from an input switch. I'd rather just have an input button, but this is as good as it generally gets these days. I could get a nicer monitor closer to $500, but I don't see the point. This will suit my needs.

Had this a few months, very happy with it. The perf : $ ratio is great.

Went in to the sub menus to enable fresync/variable refresh. Then change the latency (game) mode and the brightness and sharpness until stratified for good display text for office work vs gaming perf. (so if you want a good picture it is a bit more than playing in the windows settings)

G-sync (free sync) works fine with my 1070ti with a DisplayPort cable (free in the box)

There are websites with guides to expand the freesync refresh range form the ~45-75 Hz default to ~32-90 Hz (IIRC) I have not had the need to do this (yet).

I got this last Nov. signed up for a new Costco account and waited the few days for the promotional gift card that I applied to it. I think I was $260 out the door (not including membership).
