If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.

My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.

YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

Anyone know if I get a phone if I could use it with a line that I already have?

Or does it need to be with the line you open?

Ok new to this... Can I port in a google voice number? If so how? I'd like to take advantage of the free line (I think my account is eligible) and the free SE. So chat with TM is best? Ask for free line and free SE and waive the $20 CS fee?

Yes you can. Make sure you add a voicemail password to the account before porting out. You will have to pay GVoice $3 to release the number.
Your line account number will be your phone number and pin will be voicemail pin.
Once done. Call the rep and provide info for port in and get the iphone se on 24 monthly credits for free.

90 days, I had a watch line canceled and they said I need to reactivate the line in order for me to get a free line. I am working on getting this done as a watch line only costs $5/mon.
I thoguht this promotion is for voice line only. Would be dope to get watch / data or the syncup plan instead. I have plenty of voice line already

I just tried to add a line. I called twice. Both reps stated the only promotion they have right now is buy one line, get one free. Is anyone experiencing this issue. My SOC is MAGENTA2.

I'm on T-mobile One (SOC is FRLTULF2)
4 paid & 4 free lines
I'm considering jumping up to 9 lines with this deal
Should I request FRLTULFM9 or TIULFM9 ?

Thank you! I was able to add the free line. Hopefully I don't have any issues getting the monthly credits.

So it seems like to really get into the money you need to reach the 9 line level and have a basic One or Magenta plan that only charges +$20 per added line. After 8 lines on those plans the cost increases to +30 per added line and all your free line discounts will then glitch and match that down the line -30 pocketing +$10 for each free line before the 9th. So this wouldn't work on Magenta Max where each added line is +30 from the start right? Does this sounds like what's going on?
I'm interested in this .. currently on OnePlus with 7 lines so this would be my 8th. I've hesitated since I know moving to next soc code will lead to wasting a lot of time with reps with correct issues but.. to save that much money is enticing me.
