Not really as two systems. For the (free) line you open at Costco you get a free SIM, no activation fee and then submit a BYOD rebate for a Costco Shop card with WirelessAssociates, a.k.a. the Kiosk. It goes in a different system. Then, essentially same day or within 1-2 days you can do a TMO store or chat or self-order online deal, depending on the deal terms (port-in, trade-in etc). This will activate the promo in the TMO system.

The key is these two events (activation of the line and phone order) need to happen within the same promo period, even though you do them with 2 different partners. If you wait too long, you could get screwed. E.g one time TMO did a stop/restart with the phone promo, say promo stops today and restarts tomorrow with a different code. If you then activated the line in the old promo period you cold not order the phone in the new as the line activation event was not in the same. Happened to me in December. But otherwise, works just fine.
Thanks,
now the only thing that worries me is, I submitted the Costco BYOD $150 rebate with the number I got in Costco (as a free line), but later on I Ported-in a Visible number on top of it for that iPhone-12 on US promo.
So will Costco (http://www.mypromochoice.com/) still approve it since THAT number is no more active (after the port-in)?

I think he's/ she's referring to as I should wait until the 9th line to request for the change.

Mine was migrated to TIULFM9. AAL promo was added back along with other free line promos. My account shows AALPROMOB for the BOGO lines from 2017.
Do you happen to have kickback?
Question did the AALPROMOB convert to Account Level discount? Same thing happened to me but so far only see it as line level discount. My fear is that my account will no longer be discounted the $30 for this AAL as the line charge now changed from $30 to $0 as its part of line 1-9 for $310. Reps said to wait till next billing to see if it gets discounted Frown

I thought for eSIM you need to call them and get device EID added on their end. Once they added i was able to scan the QR code and activate eSIM on my Pixel 4a 5g.
I was able to activate eSim on my 4a 5G in December through the web portal without having to involve a rep.

I have cricket and visible number and don't have account with the T-mobil yet. I know 1 free line only available.
I'm planning to have 2 paid line for Iphone 12 on US (port in and trade in Iphone8) and 1 free line also for Iphone 12 on US with port in and trade in 8+.

What will be the best way ? Should I visit the TMO store with the trade in phone ? Any advice will be appreciated.
3 lines in first and will wait for the next free line promotion ^^. Thanks.

Yes in store is best to trade in. They do it in the spot and you dont have to worry about your trade in being lost, damaged from shipping, or just generally not being accepted. I believe you can do trade ins thru Costco but I'm not familiaar with the process as I've never done it thru them.

On side note, anyone having problems with slickdeals app constantly forceclosing?

In the Costco BYOD thread, someone mentioned about a talk/text plan for $20/line and that he opened two lines each for him and his wife and pocketed 4 $300 rebates.

Free line could end today or extend. You could open 3-lines first today $120 on Magenta, with the third line free. You could try adding the fourth (free line) later today, if the system allows you.

If you trade-in at the store, it is $30/line that you cannot avoid but your phone is checked immediately and credits show up within a couple of hours. As you are planning for a full credit for iPhone 12, you are looking at $2490 in credits over 2 years. So, $90 upfront spend may not be a bad idea for a little piece of mind. My $0.02.

was at a T-mobile store and they called customer service to resolve an issue.
had them on speaker.. they mentioned that supposedly the Apple trade in offer ($830/$530) expires today so advised to start the trade in process first.

don't know if it is true, but person seemed to know what they were talking about.

The LG G Pad 10.1 even tho it has the 4 yo SD 822 chip with 32 GB & 4 GB ram is still probably better & faster than the 8 inch samsung tablet. I believe the LG tablet is also currently on promotion but I don't know if t-mobile still does promotions with free mobile internet lines like they do with voice lines.

First of all AALPROMOB discounts $20 (on my account at least) which is the right amount. All my bills since migration to the 9-12 line plan have had all the promos and discounts generated correctly.

Go to bestbuy and get Ting mobile sim kit for $10... Activate on Flex plan for $10 a month... To get account number and pin contact support by chat or email. They reply fairly quickly.
I got lucky with the SIM kit as I got like 10 when they were selling for $1.
