For nvidia owners, the key is buying a monitor on their official list. It includes Gsync panels and Certified Gsync compatible monitors. If it's on the list, it is guaranteed to be flicker free w/ gsync.

This monitor is on the list. But the dell curved 32" was not. I have this monitor with a RTX 3080 and I have had zero issues.

All FreeSync is now G-Sync Compatible. This is a great monitor. I use it for Gaming.
I have been doing a ton of Research into 1440p 144hz (min) 27in gaming monitors (and 32) the best two I have determined are this and the LG GL850-B.
This Dell has the better brightness(400 over 350), DisplayHDR 400 (over HDR 10), sRGB 144% over 135%, 165 over 144hz on DP.

Lol? If they don't care, then they won't care if this is G-Sync or FreeSync. Go buy a different monitor. This isn't for you.
Adaptive sync was made for mid-range gpus. Gtx1060/rx570 users could play esports titles on this no problem and when the GPU shortage is over, upgrade. Monitors last at least 2 PC refreshes and you can always conect a next gen console to this. Not sure why the attitude, but this could be for anyone that's looking for a good IPS display.

You're getting more ridiculous and childish by the minute. Just because someone is a casual gamer doesn't mean they're not going to be interested in a g-sync monitor. Go brag about your 1080 card elsewhere. We really don't care what you have.

Depends if the laptop has a MUX switch to enable G-sync. Most use passthrough on the iGPU which won't allow adaptive sync.
My laptop is a HP Pavilion 16 with a 10th gen i5 Intel processor along with a Nvidia GPU. I don't recall seeing a MUX switch. Is it common and how would it be accessed?

Bought this. I don't think the price is amazing, but it's good and I need to use up the $100 credit I have on Amex Biz Plat. Currently have a 2716DG that is GSync only and has some annoying problems. I feel like geforce gsync chips are overrated and certainly not worth the ~$100 markup. Hoping this one works better. Certainly looking forward to an IPS panel as I mostly use the monitor for work, not gaming.

My next step up will be a HDR1000 monitor. Right now they're absurdly expensive, have active fan cooling, etc. This is only HDR400 and according to rtings it definitely shows I guess.

You said you're looking for a 2k monitor, this is 2560 x 1440P (QHD aka WQHD aka 1440p. This monitor is higher than 2k.

That being 1 main reason.
Terminology police over here... it's perfectly common for people to refer to QHD/WQHD/1440p as 2K. Sorry it bugs you. hug

Can someone who owns this test if the included DisplayPort cable is 1.2 or 1.4? If you can enable all of the following simultaneously then it's a DP1.4 cable: set resolution to 2560x1440, 165hz, 10bpc [10 bit 4:4:4 RGB color] in nvidia control panel, and enable HDR.
Thanks, as this will tell me if I also need to buy a DP1.4 cable or not.
mines on those setting with the stock cable

Isn't Dell's curved monitor a better monitor?

This link is to when it was $380. But I snagged them for $349 (after tax and bonuses).
Depends on your definition of what a good monitor is.

The S2721DGF is an IPS display, which to someone like me is far superior to the VA display on the S3220DGF.
