Only the Platinum card. Also this is in-house cell phone insurance by Amex, Visa and Mastercard's cell phone insurance is administered 3rd party and they are a pain to deal with
To get coverage:
You must charge your monthly Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephone bill to your Eligible Card Account. You are eligible for coverage the first day of the calendar month following the payment of your Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephone bill using your Eligible Card Account. If you pay an Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephone bill with your Eligible Card Account and fail to pay a subsequent bill using your Eligible Card Account in a particular month, your coverage period changes as follows:
Seems to be AIG subsidiary, "Coverage is provided by New Hampshire Insurance Company, an AIG Company."

Wait, you don't need to have purchased the phone with the Amex? I'm confused. Does charging your wireless bill to Amex cover all phones on the wireless plan?
Actually I am very clear on them and have found that none of them pertain to me to make the $550 annual fee worthwhile.. But please let us know which ones you find beneficial for you and (apparently) everyone else that pays for itself.
I'm a 21 year AMEX customer and find my Gold card more beneficial with accumulation of points and many of the other benefits of Platinum at a far lower annual cost.
I own the chase reserve, but the most easily redeemed benefits on the amex plat are:
You shouldn't own the amex plat if you rarely travel, and if you travel then airline and uber credits should be easy to take advantage of - so you effectively have an annual fee of 150$ after those. The centurian and sky club lounge access alone is worth 150. Not to mention the various other benefits of the card.

No, and yes, up to the limit of repairs in the allowable period (in OP).
Not really a deal unless you already need these cards though, and most card collectors value the Chase cards higher. That is, unless you have a Centurion lounge where you travel and will actually use it. So you need to be a big spender/MS'er to benefit.
If you don't already have it, this card is "spend $550/year to get insurance." As others posted, World Elite MasterCards including REI (0 AF) offer this also.

Q: do you own your own business, or travel a lot outside of work? Every Corp I've worked for has a company credit card, so this doesn't work. Only small companies I've been at let you do this.

This was my question but it looks like that is exactly the case.

You just have to pay the monthly bill. Honestly, I'd recommend getting a wells fargo propel card for this instead. It has a cap of $600 per claim, but a lower deductible of $25 which makes it more useful for cracked screen claims. Also the WF propel card has no annual. All I use it for is to pay my monthly bill. I can confirm they have paid 2 out of 2 claims I filed. One was for a cracked screen, the other for liquid damage.

I already have the Platinum card but I also have the 365 WF Propel and I had no idea we had this benefit. Very interesting. Luckily I'm good with the phones but I was able to remove the monthly insurance from the phone provider because of it.
I have the AMEX Platinum, but I am already paying my T-Mobile bill with my Chase Freedom Flex because of cellphone coverage. I think I'll just keep that card paying, as the benefit seems slightly better on Chase.
If I had to guess, I'd say less than .01 percent of Amex Platinum holders have ever heard of Slickdeals. And that number is even lower for those that post here!
I never said it wasn't a good deal for bargain hunters, or you had to be in the 1%. I just said the majority of holders are wealthy...they used to claim the average income was nearly 750K for holders.
I guess my point is that it won't be costing Amex very much, as most holders (Most!!!) don't know the benefits.
AMEX waives the annual fee for the Platinum card for active duty military and spouses...it's pretty well know inside the military community. Trust me, There are plenty of Platinum members that are all over slick deals!
my son dropped his phone last week, the screen is damaged, it is dim and has some rainbow strips. I have personal platinum AX. I am going to switch the monthly payment due around 12th each month to my AMEX platinum card. do I have wait to May 1st to claim the coverage or we can claim it right after the payment? Thanks

Not to digress but I have both cards and I like Amex more. The biggest upside for me is access to delta lounges, but apart from that I have had better customer experience and more useful offers from Amex ($30 monthly paypal credit for 1/2 of 2021, $20 monthly credits each last year for phones and streaming services)
This is another example of the latter, which works out for me because I have 5 lines on the old unlimited plan so the cost of opting out of Verizon autopay is only $10, not $50, and all 5 of my phones are covered, and happens to be significantly cheaper than warranty protection through Verizon.
Back to the topic though and I agree that this offer is only good for those that already have the card, and not so much of an incentive to get the card if you don't.
I do love Amex. The rental car coverage (full primary) for 13 bucks a rental period is the best deal ever.
Not as good as the Chase Sapphire Reserve which offers Primary rental coverage for free. I have been using it for almost 10 years prior to that I used it on the Sapphire Preferred. The Preferred does exclude luxury cars and more importantly they offer coverage outside the US as well. This saves me quite a lot of money every year.
I do think if you have had the Amex Platinum over the last year or so and actually use the benefits it has far outweighed the annual fee.

I agree, and I just cashed in on my $100 bill credit each for Best Buy and Home Depot purchases. Free smart toaster and weed wacker, thanks Amex platinum card
