Yes it is.

This is a good deal.

I would recommend calling around locally if you need a large quantity.

My wife called a farm up the road from us and they charge $20yd for garden soil (not screened) And $30/yd for screened soil (larger items like mulch are sifted out).

I had good luck last year planting grass seed using screened soil.

The miracle grow comes out to $72 / yd vs $30 if I buy locally. I'm so close they waive the delivery, but if you have a pickup it may work for some. (Farm also doesn't charge me tax 🤫)

Again, this is a good deal, but I would call around if you need more that 10 bags or so. I'm sure location matters, Im in NJ and happen to be close to a lot of farm.

I will add the convenience of transporting bags vs having to shovel into a cart and dump should not be ignored. Very easy to toss a bag into the garden bed, cut open and dump.
Got any deals on a time machine?
Sigh. When did I get so old? Scrolling through 5 pages worth of comments to try and figure out if SOIL is a good deal and what I need to rehab my lawn. Is this the type of adulting I've been reduced to? 🤷

How bigs the lawn, if its a few thousand sq yds, get some screened top soil delivered (delivery will cost more than the soil but unless you have a truck or they waive the delivery fee (again depends on how much top soil you need) buying bags of this shit isnt going to do it
No, I'm only rehabbing a few bare spots (thankfully).

I'm in the same boat. I put three tons of top soil on top of new grass seed last year. This year I'm gonna use this for any remaining patches.
Man, that's a crap load of soil! I really just need to patch a few areas myself.

I have one of those elevate rolling potting carts that I bought way back last March beginning of pandemic to grow veggies but haven't gotten around to using it. Can anyone suggest what potting mix to use? This is what I have https://www.homedepot.com/p/CITY-.../301298664. Also how much soil should I buy for 2 rolling beds

I've used the City Pickers planters for years and they work quite well. I use this soil in mine: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Kello.../100160888. You need a mix that's made for use in containers, not garden soil.

Anyone else notice that the quality of Miracle-gro has really gone down over the years?
Based on what I've read, quality varies because these are locally produced.

I'm in the Los Angeles area and buy my "premium" potting mix from a place that specializes in selling different types of soil. A cubic yard (27 cubic feet) is $30. I then add perlite, worm castings and sphagnum moss to improve drainage, nutrition and water retention. I've used the same soil mixture for years with very good results.

I bought 25 bags of this stuff earlier today to do some patching. It's basically just mulch.
Far more odds and ends, bits and pieces of wood, bark etc than any actual "soil".
Even had some chunks of asphalt in the mix for good measure.

buy cheap "top soil" if you want actual dirt rather than soil. Best bagged soil are all organic.

you tossed the plastic bags into your garden?

can i use these for my pots assume i drill 100 holes in my pots? need some potting mix for cheap

I just bought some 8-Quart Organic Perlite from Lowes for $4.48 very cheap right now. I gonna make my own potting mix for sure. 2 parts perlite to 1 part soil is my recommendation.

All organic means is it's mixed with cow poop. I bought a few cubic yards of organic soil. It had so much cow poop that it was steaming.

I beat my yard with sticks and told it how angry I was with it. That was all I needed to do and miraculously the next day it was a perfect lawn! And PostScript you shouldn't be paying any more than $2 per 2 cubic foot
