Chase has Promotional APR for 4.99% for Chase Sapphire Preferred starting from April 16th to Oct 31st 2021. This seems to be targeted offer sent through email. Added images
Understood, but most people would agree it's best to avoid paying interest on a credit card balance. Either adjust spending and pay it down, or get a card with a 0% APR promo. Heck, if you have Ultimate Rewards (and you probably do if you have a CSP), redeem them for a statement credit before carrying a balance.

Agreed, but during these tough times not many can keep up with those payments and this will reduce the APR and also this needs manual activation
I agree that 5% interest is normally not a hot deal, but 0% balance transfer offers have been pretty hard to come by for the past year and there's no evidence that credit will be opening up soon.

You still need to be a CSP cardholder and be targeted for this, plus who knows what the criteria are. And I still think it makes much more sense to cash in URs than pay 5% and wipe out most, if not all, of their value.

Certainly. Hopefully this saves people in that situation some money and helps them get out of their hole, without encouraging unnecessary spending.
