Amazon Explore puts the world at your fingertips by offering virtual experiences that are livestreamed to you at home. Each remote experience features a local host that enables you to learn, shop, and discover new places right on Amazon.com.

Taking a virtual experience with Amazon is easy: choose your experience, schedule a session, and, when it's time, your host will connect with you on Amazon.com. Choose from Amazon's curated selection of online shopping experiences, online food tours, historic and cultural tours, and other fun things to do.

If want to try or learn something new, take a virtual lesson and discover new arts and crafts, cooking techniques and recipes, and languages. Additionally, many experiences let you purchase artisan-made products, allowing you to support small businesses and shop for fashion accessories, souvenirs, artwork, and other one-of-a-kind items. Whatever goods you buy, your host will ship them directly to your home. What are you waiting for? Learn, shop, and discover new places with Amazon Explore.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

It says on the Amazon Explore page that you can ask your guide to buy stuff and ship it to you. I saw this video on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjmGH_SHK9c) the other day showing plenty of stock for both nVidia and AMD GPU's in Taipei stores. So I booked a session on Amazon Explore for a tour of Ximending shopping district. I'm going to ask my host to buy me an RTX 3080/3090 or two (depending on the price) and ship it to me. Smilie I wonder if anyone here has tried that (purchased a GPU overseas and had it shipped to the States). Do I have to pay the 25% tariff and/or other duties?
This could be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of. Sure if it's 'free' go for it, but who in God's name would pay $40-60 for these 'experiences'? Unreal.
Amsterdam red-light district...here I come🙃

Just stick with e-commerce and let others have a share of the pie. Facebook, Google...they're all trying to dominate everything. Support small businesses.

There are plenty in shops, sure. At RRP? No.

This is a GENIUS idea. Unfortunately, according to Amazon, the total spent can't be more than $800, and you are prohibited from buying electronics, among other things.

Amazon Explore Conditions of Use

Last updated: September 29, 2020

With Amazon Explore, Amazon.com Services LLC or its affiliates ("Amazon" or "We") offer you the ability to participate in live-streamed experiences with third-party providers ("Hosts"). Before using Amazon Explore, please carefully read these Amazon Explore Conditions of Use, which supplement the terms and conditions set forth in the Amazon.com Conditions of Use and the Amazon.com Privacy Notice, Amazon Explore Community Guidelines, and other applicable rules, policies, and terms posted on the Amazon.com website (collectively, the "Agreement"). By using Amazon Explore, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not accept the terms of this Agreement, you may not use Amazon Explore.

USE OF AMAZON EXPLORE
Your use must comply with the Amazon Explore Community Guidelines, and you will only make personal and non-commercial use of this service. We may monitor the live-streamed content of your experiences to operate and improve this service, including enforcing these Amazon Explore Conditions of Use.

AMAZON-PROCESSED PURCHASES
You may purchase physical products from your Host during certain Amazon Explore experiences (an "Amazon-Processed Purchase"). You may not use Amazon Explore to purchase products from any other person during your experience. For Amazon-Processed Purchases, the relationship between you and the Host is that of buyer and seller, respectively, and neither the Host nor Amazon is your agent, contractor, or fiduciary. It is your responsibility to ensure that the Amazon-Processed Purchase meets your requirements. Your Amazon-Processed Purchase may be subject to additional fees for shipping and handling. Your Amazon-Processed Purchases may not have an aggregate value exceeding $800 per day, and you will not purchase or request to purchase products in excess of that limit. If the Host is conducting an experience outside of the United States, then the Host will act as exporter of record and you will act as importer of record for each Amazon-Processed Purchase.

PROHIBITED ITEMS
Certain products are ineligible for purchase during your Amazon Explore experience ("Prohibited Items"), and you will not purchase or request to purchase Prohibited Items. A list of Prohibited Items is available here.

GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTIONS
Amazon Explore is available only to Amazon.com customers in the United States (excluding its territories).

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATION
When you book an experience, Amazon may contact the issuing bank to confirm the validity of the payment method. Your bank may reserve the funds until the transaction processes or the authorization expires, but this is not an actual charge.

Unless you cancel your experience in accordance with the Cancellation Policy, your designated payment method will be charged for the cost of the experience. If you cancel your booking, the authorization will be removed from your account according to the policies of your bank.

PERMITTED RECORDINGS
You may only record experiences using features provided by Amazon as part of the Amazon Explore service (e.g., the image capture feature). The Host owns all recordings of an Amazon Explore experience, and you hereby assign all right, title, and interest in such recordings to the Host. After completing an experience, you may access permitted recordings using the Amazon Explore service by returning to the Your Orders page for that experience.

STREAMING QUALITY
The quality of the live-streamed audio and video experiences available through Amazon Explore will depend on a number of factors, including local conditions, the type of device on which you are accessing the livestream, and your bandwidth, which may increase or decrease over the course of your viewing. While we strive to provide you a high quality streaming experience, we make no guarantees as to the resolution or quality of the audio or video you will receive when using Amazon Explore.

OFFENSIVE CONTENT
Due to the live-streamed nature of the experiences, you may find elements of an experience that are offensive, indecent, or objectionable, even though such content is prohibited. You agree to use Amazon Explore at your sole risk, and Amazon has no liability to you for any content. Experience types, genres, categories, and descriptions are provided for convenience, and Amazon does not guarantee their accuracy.

CHANGES TO AMAZON EXPLORE; AMENDMENTS
We may change, suspend, or discontinue Amazon Explore, or any part of it, at any time without notice. We may amend this Agreement in our sole discretion by posting the revised terms on the Amazon.com website. Your continued use of Amazon Explore after the effective date of the revised Agreement constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

ADDITIONAL TERMS
We may terminate your access to Amazon Explore at our discretion without notice (except as may be required by applicable law). Additionally, if you violate any of the terms of this Agreement, your rights under this Agreement will automatically terminate without notice, and Amazon may, in its discretion, immediately revoke your access to Amazon Explore without refund of any fees.

Any dispute or claim arising from or relating to this Agreement or Amazon Explore is subject to the governing law, disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability, any binding arbitration, and all other terms in the Amazon.com Conditions of Use. You agree to those terms by using Amazon Explore. YOU MAY ALSO BE ENTITLED TO CERTAIN CONSUMER PROTECTION RIGHTS UNDER THE LAWS OF YOUR LOCAL JURISDICTION

Considering the amount of content available on youtube these days for free, I find a service like this completely pointless...

I haven't tried this, but the main focus on this I believe is the 1 on 1 nature of it. You can ask questions and learn directly from the host. While there are so many amazing YouTube channels, what YouTube doesn't have is the ability for you to speak with the host (via audio).

So basically this is like living vicariously through another persons life and having them FaceTime you during the experience.

I tried a tokyo tour last time this was posted. Really cool and the guide was awesome! Problem was the connectivity was not great and we got disconnected a few times, which cut into our experience. Guide promptly said he will refund and will adhoc the rest of our tour since we didn't have time to follow the planned agenda. Will definitely try again!

We did 2 of these, one in Kyoto and one in Tokyo and both were fabulous. The interaction is real even if a little clunky sometimes and our guides were animated and engaging.

I recommend everyone give it a shot - it's free and you're supporting a local tour guide or artisan
