NSAID use causes stomach irritation and can lead to GI bleeds. When we use an endoscope to look inside stomachs, essentially 100% of all regular NSAID users have visible inflamed stomach tissue, even if they had no symptoms. There is also increased kidney and heart fish, just to a lesser degree.
Point being, check with your doctor if you take NSAIDs more than once a week, especially if you have heart or kidney disease.

Fellow GI doc here... and not to mention should probably not be used in liver patients and those with IBD
In day to day living, if I do yard work and ache the next day, is a better alternative Tylenol/acetaminophen? Like maybe once to twice a week sort of thing.
Acetaminophen is not an NSAID...it's for pain/fever relief only....does not reduce inflammation
As a general rule of thumb, for an otherwise healthy individual with no specific concerns, ibuprofen tends to be better for aches/pains, and Tylenol for fevers. Again, very broad rule thumb - YMMV
