Logitech MX Keys and MX Master 3 mouse are my day-to-day work laptop, gaming desktop, and my personal MacBook Pro accessories. I honestly think there is nothing better available in the marketplace today.

1. They can connect with up to 3 devices (not simultaneously of course, that'd be absurd)
2. Even with intense gaming sessions using RF dongle (no, not a competitive gamer), I have yet to see any lag
3. Keyboard backlighting is very strong but I usually just keep it off as it does consume battery
4. Battery life on both is great otherwise - and they use USB-C so that's awesome
5. They both can be connected with just one USB dongle to your primary machine - I recommend gaming desktop, and the rest of the connections are purely bluetooth but even they are low latency bluetooth so it's great
6. Comfort is incredible. The keyboard is heavy but it's form factor requires it to be heavy so it stays extremely stable on the desk. Does not slip. They're built like a tank. And the keyboard has both PC and Mac buttons. The software provides a ton of options to customize buttons and backlighting.

Overall, I don't think I have found a $100 keyboard and $100 mouse that integrate so well across all the three computers I use them with. Just an incredible value provided by Logitech.
The non-mac version of MX keys is $10 more at Staples than anywhere else so it would be a $10 discount.
It is a good mouse for people who use the mouse for precise work - image processing, computer art, etc that uses the mouse extensively. Otherwise an overkill for everybody else.

For most people, that use the mouse to point and select or drag and drop, etc, spending more time on the keyboard than the mouse, the $35 M720 paired with the MX Keys keyboard would offer the full benefits of the multi-device with logic flow functionality.

There are dedicated buttons on the keyboard and underside of the mouse (1-2-3) for pairing and moving between the devices you paired them with. Literally takes a second.

Only one thing...you can't move mouse/keyboard together to another device by using just the keyboard or just the mouse "switching" buttons. I wish they would integrate it so tapping 2 on keyboard moves the mouse to #2 also.
That is a neat idea!

I agree with you on most of your points. The only thing that bothers me is the size of the mouse. Comfort is really subjective. I have small to medium hand, maybe more on the small side, I find this mouse too big for me. I really want to like this mouse since it has awesome features and the smooooooth scrolling wheel, but the size is a deal breaker for me. I really hope Logitech can make a smaller version of this mouse.
MX Anywhere is what you want. Amazing mouse but felt a bit too small for me, so perhaps that'd be perfect for your need!

Great information, thanks for sharing.
Maybe I misunderstand the tech, but I had understood that Logitech already has the functionality you refer to in point #1 in place?

Does this not actually work?
Flow is different - that's a hand-off feature that their Mouse has for copy pasting stuff. I am talking here specifically about this keyboard-mouse connecting to 3 devices "one at a time" and how seamless it is to switch. Basically just press 1-2-3 buttons on the keyboard or underside of the mouse and they connect instantly to the corresponding computer. A keyboard and mouse cannot be "simultaneously" operating on two computers Smilie it'd be funny!

Great CAD mouse from what I read. I am still using Uberoptions with Setpoint to customize mouse buttons, does anyone else still use Uberoptions? And does it work with this mouse? And if not, know of any other ways to do so? (need to program middle button + keystroke)

In that case, I think I need to get the setup you suggest.
I have my work laptop with external mouse / keyboard) + my gaming PC with its own keyboard / mouse.
I also plan to get a Mac Mini, if only to have a new thing to learn since I haven't used a Mac extensively since elementary school.
Having a single keyboard / mouse to easily flick between those systems would be pretty great.
I wonder though if I could use a single large monitor that could also be as seamlessly swapped on the fly.
Then again, I may need to have concurrent view of at least 2 systems @ once at all times.

In any case, great tech times we are living in!

Hmmm I haven't tried that, but I wouldn't be able to with work computer anyway, and that's true for most people using this for work. Just wish there was some sort of communication between keyboard and mouse to trigger position 1 to 2 with push of a single button.
That would be very logical indeed. The problem I think is that there is no peer-peer communication between the two. It is always through the computer that they are independently connected to and with the help of the software running on the computer.

Providing a peer-peer communication between the two would require a wire or a separate blu-tooth or another wireless transceiver.

I wouldn't mind the mouse being optionally tethered to the keyboard with a wire for this purpose. Not as bad as a wire to a computer.

I have and it's amazing. The flow and the keyboard follows... it's astonishing to know you can copy from one PC and paste to another.

Most new BT devices (v4+ I think) can handle 2 connections at the same time, but i/o is done with one device even though connection is maintained with 2.

Since this keyboard connects using two different wireless radios (BT) and (RF - Dongle), it shouldn't be hard to implement. Especially since RF doesn't need to be constant on connection.

They can already be configured to communicate at same RF to work with same dongle.

Communication wise, it's do-able. Will they implement it, remains to be seen.

I have a 32" monitor connected to 1) gaming desktop connected via USB dongle 2) MacBook Pro connected via Bluetooth and 3) Work laptop docked via Bluetooth.

And this single pair of Logitech helps me connect to all three (whichever one I want to use at the moment). The single monitor only accepts two HDMI inputs so I got a HDMI switcher from Best Buy given I wanted to connect 3 machines.

If you need mouse for non-gaming office purposes, I would recommend MX Vertical. Wrist will thank you.

Also recommend MX Ergo trackball. Wish either were $99. I think they inflate the price past $100 so the warranty costs $50 instead of $30. Sneaky Staples.

And in my experience with many Logitech mice and trackballs, you will want that warranty when the buttons start acting up. These higher end rechargeable devices only have 1 year warranties while their AA battery powered models are warrantied for years.
