I just recently switched from regular mouse to the thumb ball mouse and love it. I had tried to use the Logitech finger mouse and hated it since it lacked a scroll wheel. Noookong back with this Logitech thumb all with scroll wheel and back buttons. Got one for work too and an extra to have on hand for any other computer.
The answer to your previous problem is "MarbleScroll" I believe. But I don't use that one anymore either...
I have a wireless M570 for a few months now, and it had been great until it recently started freezing. It will get stuck and not respond to the ball or buttons. I have cleaned the ball and rollers and it is still the same. I removed the Logitech software and it is working slightly better, but still freezes. Does anyone have any tips on what the issue may be? Thinking of asking for a warranty replacement.

I think u nailed it w "Mable Scroll". Mine are so well used there are no id marks left on em, but THUMB BALL is (imho) SO superior in every mousy way possible. I could never go back to swinging my arm around to move my curser... the index finger type trackball are second only to thumb trackball. I bought a bunch years ago and they all still work.. knock on wood.

Update: I went through troubleshooting with Logitech support and switching the USB port the receiver was plugged into seem to have resolved my issue.
After burning through 2 of these Logitech Ergo M575 trackball mice, I don't want to buy another Logitech. I originally bought 1 of them at full price on the Logitech site. At first, I like it so much that I bought a 2nd one, used. After a period using them, just passed 1 year, the left click button tends to skip when I highlight something. I contact Logitech and was given a response that my warranty had expire (1 year). There's an electronic chip part that you can buy and desolder the old chip and solder the new chip onto the button click, but I was unsuccessful at the first attempt doing that. So no go. $40 is a good price though. May be to use for a year.
Be sure to set deal alerts for a soldering iron, solder, a solder sucker, and made in Japan Omron switches for when these inevitably develop double clicking issues outside of warranty. Source: I had an M570. The crappy Chinese Omron switches they put in them failed more than a year after purchasing. I had to solder a left click and a couple days later my right click also failed. Should have just done both at the same time, like replacing all the spark plugs in your car.
Kensington has got you covered: https://store.kensington.com/prod...e-k72359ww
It's bigger than most people would want though. I bought it prior to the Logitech MX Ergo b/c Kensington was much cheaper at FRY's at the time. When I later got an Ergo the Kensington became my backup trackball (use when charging the Ergo or use when sitting at second table)

Integrated rechargeable battery should be a must

Why? Battery life is great. I use this mouse everyday and maybe replace the batteries twice a year.
Thanks
