I have these speakers. I do use a sub. Theyre connected to optical out on my TV. I like them pretty well. The one thing that bugs me is the sound not staying where I put it. Any way to get them to not turn down the volume automatically?
I am need of front tower speakers for my home theater. I have Denon AVR S750h. Would this be great fit to the existing sound system? Other speakers are mounted on the ceiling.
Nope. Look for non powered version or the RP line.
I got these for $549 back in 12/2019. They're great speakers that compliment my two SVS PB1000s nicely.
I have them hooked up via optical, which do not have the same problem as the aux. Aux input WILL time-out, which sucks!
Another gripe is that the volume is inconsistent upon changing sources. An example: I have to turn it way up for PS4. I then forget about lowering it and it's blaring for TV or BT.
BT works great for me, btw. For my ears, it's just fine.
Any suggestions from the audiophiles for a good set of powered/Bluetooth outdoor speakers?
Just buy a $15 to $35 mini bluetooth amp on Amazon. They'll turn any pair of speakers into Bluetooth. They're all pretty much the same thing. Some have a few more inputs or later versions of Bluetooth.
I bought these from adorama a while ago. They are intended and used in my office. 1) Love the remote. 2) the auto power off feature is nice, no music for 10 minutes and they turn off saving the life of my speakers. 3) I bought the accompanying 10" sub that is also controlled but the same remote. This is not necessary but adds the deep felt notes above and beyond the towers. 4) These can really get enough volume but pale to my amplifier powered Klipsch RP280FAs at home. 5) These are huge and heavy. Two people to carry and get out of the boxes is recommended. 6) I have a couple laptops in my office. One is for tunes and the bt connection sometimes goes in and out but that is because of the distance from the towers and if something gets in the middle. Sound is great.
For powered bookshelf speakers I'd recommend the Kanto YU6. They look awesome (tons of finishes), sound even better. They have everything you could need - sub output, blue tooth, phono input for records, DAC, optical, aux etc. I've seen them for $279, $329, and $400 on amazon. Will beat any sound bar you throw out at them. I personally use mine only for music and they are phenomenal.
Idk what people are talking about. I've had these since fall 2020 and they've been very solid. 0 issues. Use them w my xbox, apple TV (optical + hdmi) and also as monitors for mixing (phono). Some snobs out here complaining about $400 floor-standing speakers. I also got a dayton audio 120 sub ($150) to go along w these.
I highly recommend if you just use your TV speakers or even a soundbar. These will change your entertainment life.
Also 0 issues with Bluetooth encountered yet.
People need to stop pushing to buy a fricking 5.1 setup every time a decent set of stereo speakers come up.
In what way can I connect these to my TV. I currently have a Samsung powered set and have them connected to TV, via digital optical, for sound and use Bluetooth for music. They are okay, but would like a little more.
Will I be able to use these similarly?
Yeah! They have optical, BT and Phono. Remote allows u to switch which input to use.

For even better quality for the price get the vanatoo speakers. They sound a lot better, but not as beautiful… depends on your priorities

Apparently when playing through AUX the speakers shutoff after 10 min.
Bluetooth sound quality is spotty.
Also, difficult adding any other speakers such as a center speaker for a 5.1 setup etc. Volume resets each time they turn on/off
