I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I finally found a branch that confirmed the matching of the 100,000 offer, and I had the same problem. "It's a known issue."

I've been told the current fix is to apply online, then go back to the branch and tell them that due to the system glitch, you were unable to apply in branch. They can then call corporate, request the annual fee be removed, and request that the grocery credit be added.

Of course, when I log in to my Chase account and click "Open an account", the Sapphire Preferred is the ONLY card that doesn't allow me to click on it to "Learn more". I'm eligible for the Reserve bonus, but can't click on the Preferred.

Im sitting at another branch right now hoping for a fix.. 4th branch and hopefully a success.. I'll let her about this once situation once i see a banker

I called a number on the back of my Freedom card and got bounced around 3 times.

The current representative wanted me to apply as a guest, but I'm not going to apply unless I get confirmation that I will be getting the 100,000 bonus offer. Still on hold as the representative is talking with a supervisor right now.

After being on the phone with Chase for 45 minutes, the CS rep told me that, according to her supervisor, I'm not eligible because I downgraded my Sapphire cards to Freedom cards, so those are still considered Sapphire cards because they were once Sapphire cards. I'm pretty sure they're clueless, because the branch manager confirmed that I would be eligible after downgrading my cards.

I downgraded my Sapphire Reserve last weekend (June 5), so everything should be fine.

Can anyone that has downgraded recently and gotten the bonus confirm that it worked fine for them?

If my wife refers me and receives the 15000 referral bonus. Than cancels her card and waits 30 days.
Will that bonus count towards her 48 month waiting period? She received original bonus back in 2016.

Dec 16 means you are 4.5 years in. When did you actually get the then bonus points? It can't be later than March '17. So, since March 2021 went by you just need to downgrade to a non-Sapphire and you should be able to apply after 4 business days. So I gather from reading this thread. I am no expert though. This is my first foray in this.
Not sure if i want to downgrade my Reserve card. i think the Reserve card is a better card than the Preferred card. Everyone downgraded the Reserve for the Preferred?

According to the Doctor of Credit, the Chase Sapphire referral links are suppose to update with the 100k offer. Does anyone see this update? I might possibly wait for my SO to sign up under her so that she can get the 15k referral bonus.

FYI I got approved yesterday (Friday) in branch. Then later that day I sent a secure message in my Chase app, to ask them to expedite the delivery. I got a reply saying it should arrive in 1 to 2 business days, so I'm hoping to have it in hand by Tuesday at the latest.

So the ones of us who applied online can go in branch and request to waive the fee and get the grocery card ?

I went to a branch. My banker could only see the 80k and waived fee. No $50 grocery credit and nothing about the other 20k. I showed him the memo image and he said he hasn't seen anything like that. Could my account specifically be ineligible for the $50 credit and the full 100k? Or this branch doesn't have this offer? I applied and got approved but I feel like I'll only get the 80k :-(

Question: can I downgrade to Freedom Unlimited/Flex after a year even if I already have a Freedom Unlimited?

I read to my banker what the latest info on Doctor of Credit said about folks confirming the 100k. He immediately said hey let's call and verify. He got on the phone and within 2 minutes the rep from the corporate number confirmed that it's actually for 100k. He's not sure why the offer on his site (which he took off the privacy screen to show me) only said 80k and why they don't update it. I think you should be good too.
