I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

If you can wait, then wait. The longer the better, at least for a week. You don't know how soon Chase updates not to show your CSR. This offer is not going to end anytime soon as I was advised by my banker. You don't want to jeopardize your application.

Thanks. I PC my CSR on 6/13 and plan to go into the bank to apply for the card on 6/18. Do you think I should wait a few more days to apply or 4 days after I PC the card is sufficient?

Some DPs. Went to the branch to this morning. Branch offer showing 80k points, waived AF first year and $50 grocery credit. I asked the banker if it should be 100k instead of 80k and he said no it's 80k. I'm not concerned since DOC said 20k points will automatically apply after hitting minimum spending. Banker probably not up to date. I also reviewed my credit report for eligibility prior to going but the branch can actually just confirm through their system if you're eligible for the bonus. Otherwise sending secure message will work although it may take days for a response. They cannot cannot verify eligibility over the phone.

When downgrading CSR to Freedom, do they refund prorated Annual fee or full on nothing by default? If partial or no refund by default, what is the best way to downgrade to maximize refund?

This thread *really* needs a wiki. Why can't I find it?

I hauled my SO down to the branch today to apply and add me as an authorized user.
I made the mistake of canceling my old no-AF, plain Sapphire card on 6/11, instead of doing a product change.
When I went to the branch yesterday this card was not available for me.

Offer terms in-branch today were 80K points and AF waived. No mention of +20K points or $50 grocery credit, but I didn't bother to ask and will just take it on faith and on the wisdom of the SD community.

If this offer is still available in 30 days, and I can figure out how to hit another $4K spend, I'll apply for my own card.

Moral of the story, don't hold onto any Sapphire cards longer than is needed. Will be ready to go again in about 4 years.

If you actually go to doctor's source, it says the 17th is when the 80k + extra 20k ends and when the 100k starts. It specifically says there is no known end date for the 100k offer.
But it is unclear whether the $50 grocery credit will continue after the 17th.

The reason there is no Wiki is because whenever the Mods remake an original post (heavy handedly, I may add), they invariably remove the Wiki. My guess is that they do so because they want to control the flow of information. They don't want any new information added that might conflict with what they have posted.

It's one of those things that makes SD much less user-friendly, in my opinion. Soap Box

True, but the guy who was getting responded to was never talking about the extra in-branch offers. Just this 100k deal in general.

Downgraded chase reserve on Friday to Freedom unlimited. Yesterday applied for sapphire through app, today applied for reserve though app (two times - one declined), both finally got approved. Both times had to call reco to move credit around to qualify. Now have to figure out how to meet the spending limit.

for the people who signed up in branch, did you see the actual screen that shows the $50 grocery credit? I signed up the other day and the banker told me she didn't see any grocery credit. The screen only showed 80k plus waived AF. She called in to ask about the 100k bonus and they confirmed to her the bonus of 80k plus 20k. Just wondering as many here have stated the $50 grocery credit, but I didn't see it on the sign up screen. My friend also signed up in branch today also and the banker had no idea about the $50 credit...

congrats on the approval, just curious, why didn't you apply in the Chase branch to get the AF waived?

My banker had no idea about the $50 grocery credit. I asked her about it, showed her the memo from DOC, and she confirmed with her manager that we will indeed get the credit.
